The Pong clock, for sale!
So it didn't quite
make it out in time for the holidays, but the Pong
clock is going into production and should be shipping in February. You can pre-order this thing of beauty right now
for around $240, and while you're waiting for it to ship you can watch the video of it in action repeatedly, or do like we do and make
hundreds of abstract paintings in an attempt to represent this clock's true inner beauty. Or, well, maybe you could
just watch the video.

That is the coolest thing I've seen in a while! Gotta have one!
$240? There's gotta be a cheaper way to get one!
The minute's side is pwning the hour side!
Is there software publically avialable that allows me to do this without buying the device? Sutch as a Screen saver or other app?
Paul,
you forgot to mention it has GAMEPLAY as an added feature ! :-)
Yes, you can pick your clock of the wall and have a go at that high score againts the clock with a game fo Pong...

$240 for that???? If you are going to buy a "clock" that expensive, make it this one: http://froogle.google.com/froogle_url?q=http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/productdetail.asp%3Fsku%3DNIXIECLOCK%26loc%3D2&fr=ABLb6ya7UJvkMYgprcNsgADsED7TpxgGnwAAAAAAAAAA&hl=en
IMO, much cooler!
please god let them make a pong watch!
I dig their free screensaver, its essentially the same thing; only, you know, free.
For that price I'd rather convert a cheap laptop.
Also note the Pong Clock screensaver is out now.

Youngsir, that is an awsome idea!
Would be a great application for the first paper display watch.
what is with the site breaking every link? The < br > are being added to the URL and it's a pain in the ass to fix them manually
Actually, $240 is a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Designer clocks are always pricey, and this one has a big LCD and a processor, too. I think this clock is cheaper than their "Orbit" clock, and it's much more of a conversation piece.
Not saying it's exactly cheap, mind you...
I want one.
When I said "big LCD," I meant "big for a clock."
The screen is 12 cm by 16 cm, so this isn't exactly a huge clock.
But hey...it's Pong!
The Orbit clock can be bought for $95 EURO($115USD) so its a little cheaper, and I'd feel the orbit clock is more of an attractive piece to have in the house. To each their own I suppose though.
Or, you're using a Mac, you can download the Dashboard Widget version...

Who wants to buy? ---> www.PongClock.com
OMG... i hope that clock doesn't play that horrible music super loud!
what a crappy soundtrack. sooo.... does it make noise? that would be incredibly annoying.
i'd expect to pay like $60 for that, and make the pong playing smaller, and the scores larger. i dont care about authenticity.
It's a great idea, but I've got the screensaver running on my 20" iMac...why would I want this tiny little screen, and why would I pay so much for it?
This is actually a lot cheaper than I had expected. A bit smaller, too, but definitely not priced like some other designer stuff out there. I honestly was expecting something a lot closer to four figures. That vacuum tube clock is a nice piece as well.
Is it just me, or did they take the screensaver off their website? Oh well, good thing I already downloaded it. :D
