Double Agent delayed until September

Splinter Cell Double Agent

According to Ubisoft's latest financial report, Splinter Cell Double Agent has been delayed until September 2006. The delay can be attributed to the company's desire for a simultaneous worldwide launch across all platforms. By delaying the game, Ubisoft can polish the Xbox 360 version, while waiting for the next-gen console's installed base to expand. No word yet on how the delay will affect the release of Splinter Cell Essentials for the PSP, which allegedly begins where Double Agent ends.
