TabletKiosk eo V7110 arrives in the US

Sure, it might be $900 bucks, but the TabletKiosk eo V7110 is not only the first UMPC to arrive in the States, but it happens to be the cheapest UMPC announced so far. It just started shipping today, but lucky reader Tomi B. got his hands on one already and snapped some unpacking pics to share. Thanks Tomi! We can't say it looks quite as good as the marketing pics, but we're liking the white casing and we'll reserve any other judgements until people start snapping in the battery and firing this thing up. white iPod esque isnt it, pretty. i like the fact that since its windows based, you could use it as a media player that supports ALL codecs.

nice device in general. will be great to tether a digital camera to it, to use the 40gb+ as storage (freeing from CF cards), although FW is the preferred interface.

if someone managed to fit FW800 into a umpc, i could see pro photographers snatching these up (for medium format digital backs). much more portable than even a 12" pbook.

It's.... It's sorta ugly, frankly. I mean, if you're going to go with white, don't put in a non-greyscale color. Especially red. O_o

Hahahaha. If you only knew what that means in Swedish. The name is "Tablet PC" is so stupid, and "TabletKiosk" even more stupid. I would never buy a Tablet PC just because of the name.

Actually. The first time I saw the name "Tablet PC" I read "Table PC" instead. Think Table PC is a better name actually since the PC is just a big screen that you can have on your table, or something.

#4, that isnt a microphone on the headphones. It looks like inline volume control. The plugs on the bottom do not have the headphone port and microphone port plugs, only the headphone port plug.

Still... I am envious. It looks pretty sweet. However, looks can be deceiving (Sony Bean anyone?)
