With the "
Origami lifestyle" being portrayed as so fun and carefree, we were surprised to see that
UMPCs will also be tasked with the decidedly less fun-filled duty of helping soldiers locate and terminate their targets. The latest high-tech addition to the military's mobile arsenal is a pocketable 1.4GHz Pentium M-powered tablet from General Micro Systems known as the P630 Spartan, whose half-inch-thick ruggedized case houses 2GB of DDR SDRAM, a 30GB hard drive, 64MB of dedicated VRAM for OpenGL and Direct-X support, and an optional 16GB of bootable flash memory. You also get a CF slot, optional 802.11g or Bluetooth, USB and FireWire ports, and E-Purge hard drive self-destruct utility for your $3,400, although that price is for 100 of the devices, so we're not sure if they'll even be willing to sell just a couple to your militia group.
Yawn. Somebody please wake me with Origami's official time of death.
Dimensions look nice. The .5 inch thickness is very slim, compared to Sony's 1.5 inch.
How can they sell a hundred for 3400 dollars? You can only buy three from Samsung for that amount. I smell something dodgy here.
I am quite sure that its $3400 each when purchased in a lot of 100. That's a minimum order, and easily $1500 more than even the high end for the components mentioned...
GRRR... no pictures make Homer go something, something.
I think 3400 each.
"Pricing for the conduction-cooled version starts at $3,400, in quantities of 100 units and ship 60 days ARO."
Right, so it's either $34 each, or $3400 each - with a minimum order of 100.
Huzzahs are in order for grammar that can't be understood!
most of you should know that buying in mass quantities from manufacturers, that what they are saying is "you get these, they are $3400 each, and only sold in packs of 100" jeez, learn some common sense. look at a mouser catalog or something
no, cheapside (number 3), it´s 3400 each one, 34.000 for 100. They only sell 100, you can´t buy only one.
Wow. To all you overserious chumps out there.
I WAS KIDDING!!
Do you really think I thought you could buy one for 34 Dollars?
As Pedro said, I was pointing out the bad grammar.
Hey #1 how about we don't wake you at all... you cod!
I for one am extemely excited to see another application for this revolutionary device!!!
