UK getting huge Wii launch party
Not to be outdone by the NYC launch of the Wii, the UK has some special plans of their own. According to the Unofficial RPG site, they heard from someone close to Nintendo that the company plans of having a huge launch party for the Wii and an announcement will be made sometime this week. This supposed launch party will be a joint effort between Nintendo and UK retailer Gamestation.
The two stores chosen for the festivities, apparently, are the company's largest store in Birmingham New Street and their Scottish branch in Edinburgh. The above image is evidence of a PR push by Microsoft for the Xbox 360, so are we to assume a similar approach will be taken with this new proposed launch event?
