First pics of the LG KE850-based Prada cellphone
While it was but a week ago that we got word of a forthcoming mobile from LG and Prada, the first round of "official photos" (read: blurred almost beyond recognition) have already surfaced, and it will purportedly be based on the mysterious LG KE850. Foregoing the typical LG-branding, this black beauty looks to have Prada's fingerprints all over it, and instead of the typical keypad, it'll reportedly sport a touchscreen display that "changes based on the application being used." Moreover, the handset will feature a predictable minimalist design, boasting an all black color scheme and a simple black / white contrasting interface. Although we don't know a great deal about the feature set just yet, it supposedly only has a minimal amount of onboard memory, and while prices have "yet to be confirmed," we're led to believe the pricetag will be quite a bit lower than we're all secretly expecting when it hits "five European countries" in March / April of next year.

That's too bad. A really nice phone with a super premium price because it has some stupid-ass name on it. No thank you.

while this is a boring exercise in branding, Prada clothes are freaking beautiful. Worth every penny.

i want this phone so much! if it doesnt come to the u.k i might just go mad!

"Worth every penny" is debatable, although most products from Prada do look nice. Including this LG rebrand.
fashionista @ Dec 20th 2006 12:58PM
it's not just looking nice, it is the fact that the designers are at the top of their game and the clothes are flawlessly constructed. That's why a cellphone from them is kind of boring, since it isn't handmade or even hand-designed.

*hides all mention of this device from my wife*
At least here in the states we can get one a tenth of the price in NYC from a shady character on a side street in Chinatown.

Mmmm. If you think Prada clothes are flawlessly constructed, you need to get out of your wonderland.
There are much better brands for men, including Hugo Boss for casual wear, Zegna for semi-casual wear, or Valentino & Armani for businesswear.
Seriously...

I honestly have to say while I think the technology is cool. The screen is going to be black with white letters. in other words no color. To me it sounds kind of boring. I think Ill wait for the iphone, which may have less features but I don't use them anyway.

This PHONE is rank you copyied motorola so badly just because they have D&G on the back of the phone i have a Dolce&Gabbana Razor its wicked this phone is touch screen just like the LG CHOCOLATE its horrible change your style LG anyway PRADA is cheap :(
T @ Jun 9th 2007 5:21AM
Well...Since I have this phone let me tell you guys a thing or two...first off you can change the color of the screen...so black and white is NOT the only color you can have as a theme.
The D&G razr phone is the ugliest thing...and isn't it only a $300 phone anyways? And newsflash to those of you who don't know very much about cell phones...this phone did not "copy" the D&G razr by placing a brand name on it! Quite a few years back Versace branded a few cell phones and that was way BEFORE D&G...And prada has much nicer clothes than D&G. Sorry for those D&G lovers out there! (D&G's designs are way tacky!)
This phone is way better than the LG chocolate phone! One of my gf's has the chocolate phone and the touchscreen isn't sensitive at all! The prada phone has a very sensitive touchscreen! Its a sleek and classy design...very thin and fits well in your purse (or pocket) You really need to see it in person...I was debating between the prada phone and the nokia n95 and I don't regret my decision at all!

the site said that it could be cheaper than the D&G Razr. i just purchased D&G Razr for my mother so if its cheaper than that put me down for one. i love touch screen smart phones. i have a treo 700p and im looking for an upgrade. i also have been a Palm OS user since 2000. so i have collected tons(GB) of applications. But i cant deny the fact that the PalmOS is dieing. So what OS is that on the Prada Phone?
