Hands-on with the MoGo Mouse and MoGo Dapter
Over at ShowStoppers at CES we spotted MoGo's Mouse and Dapter and snapped a few for your pleasure. The MoGo Mouse's claim to fame is its PC-card slot based design which can fold up and be hidden within ExpressCard 54 and regular old PC card slots. Also on show was the MoGo Dapter which, we can tell you, is one extremely small Bluetooth dongle. Check out our gallery at the link below.

IS it just me, or does the mouse need the laptop to be 'on' to charge it. Following bad experiences of hibernation and standby I shut my laptops down when I've finished with them. I don't believe that anybody out there really actuall *needs* a quicker boot at the expense of battery life. Maybe it's just not the mouse for me. Nice idea though

SPECS???!?!?!?!??!??!? luckily for most i have read them for myself. the dapter -which i was most interested in - features Bluetooth standard v2.0 +EDR and USB 2.0, a max transfer of up to 3.0Mb/s, a 30ft range, it supports up to 7 slave devices and it weighs only 39g! (.4" length)

I've got the PC card version and I think it's great. I only use it when I'm out of the office as I have a port replicator with a decent desktop mouse connected. So while I'm in the office the mogo sits in it's PC card slot and charges up, when I'm on the go, I can press the eject button, drop down the stand and I'm away. I can get a couple of days work on a full charge as the mouse is very good at saving power.
Despite it's small size it does make a surprisingly easy mouse to use, but it's not perfect, when you're used to a scroll wheel, you really notice it's absence, I think I've read somewhere that mogo are looking to address this problem, probably with some sort of slide panel (like the nav paine on some laptops).

Nice! I wasn't aware an ExpressCard version was in the works. Will definitely be picking one up. I might wait for the rumor above regarding the scroll wheel to be answered officially, but either way I'll be picking one up in one iteration or another.

Can't wait until they get scrolling functionality on the Mogo mouse like they said they were working on. That's the version I'm waiting for.
