Man steals $1.7M for gadgets

Look, we're the first to admit an unhealthy weakness for the lecherous ways of shiny new devices. Sometimes it's difficult to hold the line between lust and crime when going hands-on with virgin consumer wares. But hold that line we must. The lure proved too much, however, for a UK finance director by the name of Stephen Netherton who was busted and jailed after admitting the theft of some £848,000 (nearly $1.7M). What did he spend his ill-gotten booty on? Gadgets. According to a police spokesman, Netherton "was just a gadget freak." We feel ya Stephen, we feel ya.
