First Look Studios announces their first HD DVD title
Take this Blu-ray. First Look Studios is throwing their support to the HD DVD camp and will release their first title on July 24 - day and date with the standard DVD release. The Contract (IMDb: 5.6/10), starring Morgan Freeman and John Cusack, will be their first of many HD DVD releases. We don't know if the release is going to offer DTS-HD or Dolby Digital Plus 5.1, or even port over the audio from the standard DVD. We do know however that the title will carry an SRP of $32.98 which works out to be $4 more then the standard version. Blu-ray may have a lot of the large studios pledging all their support to Blu-ray but HD DVD has First Look Studios. Yeah.
