SNES Wii mod takes the Virtual out of the console

While the Virtual Console has certainly been a big part of the Wii's success, it wasn't enough for crazy DS modder extraordinaire Kotomi. His "Nintendo Super Nii" is one part Wii shell, a couple parts SNES guts, and a big ol' scoop of blue LED goodness. All you need now is the real classic controller (none of this new-school Wii stuff) and you'll be rocking some of that Mode 7 magic in no time. Peep the read link for another shot of this totally sweet mod. The Super Nii does not support DVD playback.

I will assume you meant "Wii"... and DVD playback? woah woah, one step at a time. let's go with CD playback first before moving on to DVD playback. :)

and sadly with the Mod, those SNES graphic is still on-par with most of Wii games.

It would be more interesting if they made a connector that would allow you to just plug it into the console and play any SNES game - this way it would be easier to get and use games.

Wow... Respect from me for saying "Mode 7 magic." It really made my day, for some reason.

As for Taylor... Who says this person didn't own an old broken SNES, and just stole the the controller attachments out? Aswell, not everyone in the world owns every game for the original SNES. Don't be an idiot.
