FINALLY!!!!
Anyone got a copy of the ad?
second.. and yes, i wanna see this commercial!
Ya....i want to see that ad!
Man you going to get "Low Ranked" so fast!
I just saw the 60 Minutes ad. Just a simple run through of some of the functions (Phone, Internet, iPod, Email), and then a screen that had the June 29th release date. I wish I knew how to get the vid off my DVR.
@Tylerks
Just play it again with the DVR and then just take a quick video of it with a digital camera. It wont be very high quality, but at least we will know what it looks like.
good news - I imagine it will work. I plan on getting one, the question is do I buy it asap or wait a month or two?
I would say wait a month or two. Review sites will post a TON, and you might even change your mind about getting it - plus, a few bugs may be sorted out.
Yes, the iPhone is a RAZR with a touch screen.

Done - you can see it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc-DMfgPI88
I'm on Mountain time. I just set my DVR to record. I believe I can get it off my DVR, onto my Digital Video Cam onto YouTube or here if some lets me know who to get it to Engadget.
FINALLY!!!! :) :) :)

They are all here now. Enjoy :)
A little bit quicker on the draw, lol.
I didn't see the AD but by chance was it one of these?

Heheh yeah I was just gonna point that out myself :)

"requires 2 year service agreement"
http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/
Love Jake
I'm trying to comprehend how anyone would want to buy one when it requires a two year contract with Cingular _and_ their outrageous, $40 a month data plan (for EDGE!, to pour salt into wounds).
It may be a damned nice phone, but the service is just a stone around its neck.
strait from the horse's mouth

"Use requires minimum new 2 year activation plan"
I won't be able to bring one back home :((((((((((((((((
Same interface on upcoming 6G iPod? I'm so excited!!!
Do tell, you got confirmation of that? I've been waiting to know.
Great now who's getting one?
I don't like that activation plan requirement. Seriously, how will it work when I want to upgrade to the 3G, GPS iPhone that will come out within a year?
It's especially annoying that, at $600, we're not getting any discount for agreeing to such a long commitment. AT&T may have "broken a lot of rules" for Apple, but they sure are taking us customers to the cleaners for wanting this new toy.
It has already been said that current customers can get one at the same price points as everyvody else.

No, I just called ATT telesales. For starters, you can go thru them and get an iPhone ordering on the 20th to be delivered by the 22nd for $15 overnight- ported number and all. I asked about a discount and my guy confirmed THERE WILL BE A DECENT AND DEFINITE DISCOUNT FOR A NEW 2 YR CONTRACT. Call them yourself if you don't believe me. Now I can get my phone a whole week early and avoid the mad rush to the stores!
The phone number shown on the phone's display during the Calimari ad is a Real Phone Number. It's a restaurant! Do you think they are receiving a few calls? Do you think Steve owns the restaurant? This is the first time I've seen a real phone number on an ad...usually it's a 555 number.
haha i called them! it is a real place. i hung up after they picked up so I dont know if they are associated with Apple or anything.
Unbelievable.
I am the biggest Apple fanboy but I have hated on the iPhone since day one. I'm on Verizon, love my Treo and see no reason to go to AT&T... until now.
Watching those ads made me almost cry. I'm serious. That thing is absolutely gorgeous, beautiful, amazing. The touchscreen keyboard will take some getting used to, but something tells me Apple took a novel approach to the recognition process.
Wow.
I hate to admit it, but I agree with you... By the second ad, my tear ducts were already swollen. And then I went back and watch the other videos on the site and that was it for me. This is the future...and it's giving me goosebumps! ;P
arghh, the release is one of the worst possible dates for me.
dang, i wish i had known this sooner. Too much secrecy.
i'm definitely getting one, undecided on the 4 or 8 gig model though. will depend on what they have in stock at the time when i go to pick mine up, i think. i'll settle for a 4 if they don't have an 8.
as far as GPS, i seriously doubt the map ad was a confirmation of GPS capability. it's more like that the person already had a location input, and then searched for seafood in that area, and knowing where in that area they were, they then selected the restaurant that was closest to where they already were.
in any case, i would piss my pants if it did indeed have GPS. that would be the icing on the cake.
The AT&T-branded iPhones (as seen in these ads) has an automobile icon in the lower-right corner of the Maps screen. This was noted previously, and is still absent from Apple's own pages (which still display the Cingular brand). It may be possible that this is for Directions, so perhaps a GPS-enabled service (similar to AT&T's TeleNav GPS Navigator) is in the works?
boycott, the price is to high.
and people were complaining about the price of the ps3.
Can't wait to get an unlocked iPhone.
Um, so are the $500 and $600 price points still official? I thought there were rumors that Apple would bring down the price with a contract. I guess it's staying at $600 :\
yes they will I posted a comment call ATT telesales they will confirm discount.
My sprint contract is ending this August, just in time to get the iPhone. Man, I can't wait.
Put it on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc-DMfgPI88
Well now that this topic is off the table, what will Jobs headline at WWDC? I am going to predict the multi-touch MBP tablet running those top-secret Leopard apps.
how bout a new ipod... a true video one, we have been waiting long enough damn
I'm a gadget and computer nut. I bought a Samsung i730 phone the day it was released - for about what the iphone will go for.
I can't see the desire to own this phone. Granted I have not studied it that carefully - but no 3g, touchscreen keyboard and keypad - uugghh.
I have a Phillips Pronto remote - exclusive touch screen use blows. Little or no tactile feel.
Maybe I missed something. Maybe I'm just getting old.
It says minimum 2 years required. I am going to go out on a limb here but perhaps if you sign a 3 year contract, the price drops??
mmmmmh....
If that were the case then everyone should buy a Razor instead of an iPod. Oh wait, the razor kinda sucks as a music player. Oh and it kinda sucks as a video player with the small ass screen.
It's a nice phone, I have one.
no way apple drops new ipods in the widescreen/multitouch format anytime this year. there's no way they would canabalize iphone sales like that. it'd be dumb as shit to put two high-end products that share functionality out one right after other.
