Another day, another fancy
head mounted display vying for your hard-earned dollars. This time around it's
Shimadzu, and rather than hanging the pirates and cycloptic individuals in the crowd out to dry, the DataGlass 3/A is designed to only
interfere utilize one eye. Interestingly, this
USB-powered iteration is also dust- and water-proof in case you're desperate to view a virtual screen whilst signing in the rain, and can also be connected to your PC or handheld device via a standard VGA cable. No word on price just yet, but be sure and check out the video listed in the read link to quell your excitement.

Desperate to view a virtual screen whilst "signing in the rain," hmm? So this product is aimed at the deaf community?

Yet another piece of evidence that Pirates are better than Ninjas.

(The board stripped off my "end obligatory_model_comment" tag.)

I, for one, welcome our incredibly hot, Asian Supermodel Cyborg Overlords

Incredibly hot? Dude...you must be on a serious Asian-jonez.
She's cute...not hot.

It must be sad working on these. They've been coming out with one a week for years and they never become more than a novelty.
Bad Beaver @ Jul 20th 2007 11:16AM
Very nice! I would expect it to be pretty pricy though due to the dust/water protection.
Greg @ Jul 20th 2007 11:21AM
Mei-Ling, that belongs to Snake.
Emceay @ Jul 20th 2007 12:32PM

The number of possible combinations should be 500 billion billion, not just 500 billion.

Put a web cam on the other side. Ta-duh! Now you too can have your own adventures pretending to be old man Solid Snake!
Steve @ Jul 20th 2007 4:12PM
Wait, wouldn't cyclops be blindfolded if they wore these?
Wwhat @ Jul 20th 2007 4:57PM
Nice to see they took the resolution serious making it 800x600, so many of these devices have something like 320x240 pixels which is only suitable to give to small kids.

imagine the usefulness to underwater welders and others dealing with complicated machinery in harsh/demanding environs.
