If you watched the unbelievably gorgeous trailer for id's new action title, Rage, and were curious as to how they're getting a beast like that to run across the PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms with little additional effort, the answer is simple: John Carmack is a genius.
