Customized Yoshi Wii console finds new home
For those that recall the oh-so-green Wii developer unit from last year, this here console may look a tad familiar. The difference, however, is that this Wii is a bonafide retail unit customized by its (now prior) owner to express his fascination with all things Yoshi. The console itself touts a spray of Yoshi on one side, while the white base was tattooed with eggs. Of course, you can certainly find a few flaws here and there if you look hard enough, but those imperfections are easy to forgive if you're an unashamed Yoshi fanboy. Sadly, this here unit has apparently found a new owner, but the creator did mention that he may "do this again" if the demand is there. Check out the rest of the photos after the jump.

There aren't any Yoshi games on the Wii......
There's Mario & Yoshi if you count the VC.
Indeed there aren't any. I want one where I can play Luigi, ride or fly Yoshi and swallow white eggs with colored dots on them.
Smash Bros Brawl will have Yoshi in it...
Looks like he just sprayed the top of it - I wonder why he didn't take it apart. I assume that would have made it loads easier AND look a lot 'prettier'.
im just waiting for the Transformers version. :)
I really would love to do something like that with my Wii. ~_~ Is it true that you can actually open it and not void the warrenty?
Looks to me like a stick-on skin... I bought one online that makes my Wii look a bit like the original NES (at least in color scheme and patterns). He probably used something like that as a base, got some of the same material in green, cut out the correct shapes and added a Yoshi.
I haven't even been able to find the stock version in Boston, MA. I walk into any PC gaming store in my area and whoever's behind the counter just laughs when I ask them if the boxes in the window means they have some in stock. Does anybody know what the holdup is?
yeah, the holdup is that everyone is buying them before you.
