Alright, so it's really not all that much different than its
predecessor in terms of functionality, but you gotta love the slightly sleeker design and bulked up WiFi of the new
Sirius Stiletto 2 -- and the ability to add more tunes via microSD doesn't hurt, either. Not a lot to say about this one that we haven't covered with the original -- i.e. if you weren't happy with issues like reception or content restriction, you probably won't be into the sequel either -- so instead of rehashing the specs for the zillionth time, we'll let you get right to the gallery...

the ability to save your recorded content to the memory card would've been a great addition. c'mon sirius..
Randy @ Sep 11th 2007 2:59AM
Yeah, it would have been a great addition, IF Sirius wanted a major lawsuit from the RIAA.
Since they don't want a lawsuit, they wisely left that particular capability off.
john @ Aug 23rd 2008 3:58PM
I say screw them ! This is like a tape recorder and I can still use one of them to record content!
The General @ Aug 15th 2007 2:18PM
It looks like I left it on my dashboard all day long in 110 degree summer heat...
LordJohnWhorfin @ Aug 15th 2007 2:55PM
Meh. But I'm definitely getting a Sonos now!

Looks cheapy....yuck.

Oh god they kept that lousy plug in on the bottom. From December 2006 to August 2007 I've been through
(4) Stiletto 100
(2) Vehicle Adapters
(2) Home Adapters
One Stiletto had an internal problem and would just quit playback of recorded material. The other three have all had problems with the jack interface on the bottom.
Both of the vehicle and home adapters have all had interface problems with the jack....
Really bad design on that interface, SIRIUS. By not changing that interface severely lowers the quality of this device.
I listen to approximately 12-14 hours a day. Start out in the home adapter in the morning, switch to the vehicle for the drive to work. At work I use the Wi-Fi connection, then switch back to the vehicle, and home again.
I can tell you, the Wi-Fi is still too limited. Here at Cornell University you won't ever be able to use our Secure wireless network with just a password protected connection.

How about some side by side shots with the fist Stiletto 100?
Natedog @ Aug 16th 2007 12:11AM
Why, of all things, did you choose an 8525 to compare it to?
me_rubin @ Aug 21st 2007 3:26AM
For those that wanted some side by side views with SL100 here are some reposted pics.

Since this has the universal connector will it work with the SUBX1 boombox?
Thanks.

This was the worst purchase I've ever made!! I already own two serious radios and just love them. I wanted the stiletto for portable use only. And the piece of junk is incapable of picking up a signal. I tried every unti the store had in both the 10 and 100 models and every last one was the same. The reception problem is a problem with the battery. Because when I plugged the unit in to the wall it worked fine with both the internal antenna and the antenna headphones. I literally spent hours on the phone with a tech and they could not solve the reception problem. Why serious would continue to put out somthing that does not work just baffles me. Does anybody know who actually manufactures the unit!
I would love to call them and tell them what I think of it!!!
Mr Stilleto @ Dec 11th 2007 2:24PM
So you are saying that the Stilleto 2 does not work?
So the one that was reviewed and the one I have that works is just a fluke? What you really mean to say is that they ("every unit") do not work for you. So is it the device or you that is the problem?
cityman @ Dec 20th 2007 5:05PM
Not sure what al of you are complaining about...... I had has Zero connection problems, Zero Wi-Fi problems and Zero car adapter problems. The only thing that I've had any concern about is the "sirius updating" constantly, but when I called sirius they said that that is common when you first get the unit.
I give it two thumbs up

I have had my Stiletto 2 for 2 days now. Just one complaint, the artist and songs are very small. I am a truck driver and searching from station to station is a little difficult while driving. Quick fix is to set up presets and surf.
Other than that it is a very techy unit. I love this radio, and yes I bought it for it's sleek design so I can live with the small lettering.
Haven't read the manual yet so I am still learning options that this radio has.
Homefronter @ May 4th 2008 10:45AM
My husband is a trucker and we are considering purchasing this unit for him. It is a bit pricey and as you know times are tight but I want him to have a radio that works. How has this worked out for you over the last 4 months in your truck. Specifically has the reception been good in various conditions and locations? Thanks for your input.
KennyL @ Feb 1st 2008 11:18PM
The Stiletto 2 works very well for me, the antenna headphones work very well even when riding the bus in the urban area I live. When I lose all signal, the radio replays is a great feature!! My problem is I have an IBM NetVista computer running Windows 2000 Pro and the My Sirius Studio software will not work. All I need is a device driver, compatible with W2K that will allow me to transfer my Mp3s to the SL2! Any body out there know of a work around with out having to upgrade to XP?
Jon @ Aug 25th 2008 12:06PM
I connect my S2 to my laptop and XP detects it fine...then I just dump mp3's on my 8gb micro card that I have installed on it.
No extra software needed..
ashley @ Mar 31st 2008 2:58PM
I'm considering buying the Stiletto 2. I'd like some user opinions from someome who knows what's going on. Anyone who actually knows about the Wi-Fi and adapter pros and cons please reply ASAP.

The radio has problems, I'm on my 3rd radio in as many weeks I purchased straight from sirius and here we go. The first radio had reception problems In the home or car dock my old sporster got better reception sent that back and great, reception problem solved but now I cant use the timer record funtion I have tried everything Will not recored Howard Sterns and the first one did and did it well. So here we go again I am now waiting for my 3rd RMA from SIRIUS. If the third on fails to work I quit I will request a full refund and be done with it so I hoping it works because I realy do like the features it supposed to offer. PS all are BRAND NEW and not refurbs or I was told that anyways because the radio is in the 30 day window
augh @ Jul 31st 2008 12:25AM
i am so disappointed by the low quality of the units. i had a sportster in the car and after the 5th one and the warranties running out i gave up but in between i bought my husband a stilleto which i use now and it has been acting up for some time. Today it was doing all the things everyone is complaining about, constantly repairing media, not holding the recorded material. Really, the only reason is Howard. But how can this madness go on. I dont even understand how the synching works with the unit since it doesnt recharge while pluged into a usb port? What the Heck!
