Samsung's GX-20 DSLR leaked
Apparently, Samsung is about to drop some extra-hot DSLR action on the world -- the 14.6-megapixel monster that is the GX-20. The camera -- which was apparently leaked on a Norwegian website (though later removed) -- features sensor-based image stabilization, a 2.7-inch LCD, one-press RAW formatting, and ISO up to 3200. The camera appears to sport some ruggedized components as well, with resistance to rain, sand, and dust, as well as something called "double dust removal" on the image sensor. There's some speculation that this camera is the product of the unholy union between Samsung and Pentax, and that this model may in fact be the Pentax K20D which is set to be released. Stay tuned to this space for more info.

Wonder if my Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III will feel lonely after this acquisition? Hope the price is right for 2nd camera option. So, whenever this comes out ill have a super size order of fries with it ;)
I want a Canon 40D
What does that have to do with this post? That sounds like Canikon trolling...
I wish Canon would roll out sensor-based IS. Combined with lens-based IS it would be sweet.
Is Samsung's SLR going to have a full-frame sensor?
Don't think thats possible. Cameralabs tried an olympus E-510 with a panasonic Lumix L1 lens and it didn't do to well. It wouldn't stabilize. It's one or the other. I highly doubt canon will add in body IS.
@rendezvous
It makes sense that a system cobbled together with different pieces from different manufacturers would fail. However, I suspect Canon would be able to pull off some kind of synchronization if they were controlling things end-to-end.
Of course it's possible. Canon's lens based IS has an on/off switch.
Doesn't make sense for Canon to go this route since it produces very successful IS lenses.
I dunno about the other camera consumers out there, but I sure never use the high-range ISO... just too noisy; how about advertising how *low* I can set the ISO?
Samsung GX10 (aka Pentax K10D), previous model in this series is pretty good at ISO800 and quite acceptable at ISO1600, believe me. Its ISO1600 is waaaay less noisy than any pocket-size camera has.
With noise removal software getting as good as it is, high sensitivity is very much worth advertising.
It's all about available light. If you dont have enough light to shoot in one situation, you need to bump up the ISO. This is the case for many wedding photographers, event photographers, and everyone else who wishes to stay away from flashes.
If you want low ISO, get a professional camera with an ISO option of 50.
15 days until the rumored press conference by Pentax.
Any camera with a perfect review from trusted is worth it's weight in gold (I love mine :p)

Yeah, that's a total Pentax. Looks more like the K10D to me.
FullFrame? no? I'll wait...
Fullframe? I don't think so. That'd be excellent, but resolution would be much higher, not to mention the price.
I'll get K20D and after few years some fullframe pentax - maybe "K2D"?
I would say it almost certainly would be the Pentax K20D. There has been a Samsung version of the K100D and the K10D.
All of the features smack of a Pentax. IS in the body, dust / sand / water resistant, RAW button on the side, the AF / MF switch.
