Video: Optimus Maximus install, setup, Configurator, and use!

[MP4] - Download, h.264 65MB
Update: Ok, YouTube was totally sucky for the first couple hours, but the embedded video is now online after the break. Of course, you can also download it from the link right above. Sorry for the delay!

Video is broken
GAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I've been waiting with geekdrool since the tease earlier today. Lemme see it!
I really want to see the video too but which one of us will lay down a grand for this thing? I don't think I will. I rather get myself a evil elmo.
Damn you! thats the second time today
Kermit must die
ROFL
nice, Kermit.
Kermit, I see what you did there ;)
Sorry guys! I wonked up the embed, it wasn't ever taken down, it just wasn't always public. It's fixed now though!
Still broken to me Ryan
The video was taken off!! Grrr... You guys should just put up a file for dl.
Yep, still borked for me too.
Oh how I loathe YouTube. Working on it...
o.0 Vid on 2nd page! Thanks al.m.suarez!
Stage6 doesnt fuckup like this it just gets hacked... PUT IT ON STAGE6
The download is now online! Ugh, really sorry about this everyone. I think it's time we got off YouTube.
Please Engadget, show YouTube the finger and use Stage6
or anything else for the matter
This will probably be the last time we use YouTube. Not sure it'll be Stage6 we move to, but we'll figure something out.
use vimeo. Joystiq uses it and has a pretty sleek interface compared to youtube.
Please Ryan if you have to change, use another flash based video provider. Flash can be viewed on many device that support flash 9 or flash lite 3, thus you get more coverage in many platforms. Stage 6 will be a very bad choice, unless you provide two versions of the video....a high quality divx version alongside a low res flash version.
Please consider.
The vid is not working
Video Already Pulled???
:(
Wow... video taken down in an hour?
Ooops.. < 5 minutes. Hahah!
Engadget is sorry, this video is no longer available.
Uh... free advertising? Why would they pull it?
It's a private video. Whatever that is.
'It's working now' my arse.
Dang. Video has been taken down already.
Dead video is dead.
ENGADGET YOU TORMENT US SO!
video's not pulled, its set in private mode, probly accidentally
This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender's friend request.
"we're sorry this video is no longer available"
bummer.
I would really like to see this thing in action...
Make the video public engadget! I would love to see this thing in action after over a year of hearing about it.
looks like we've been block-blocked
Is anyone excited about this besides Ryan Block?
I am.
I'll never buy one, but what geek could resist a keyboard made up of sweet ass mini OLED displays?
me too. i'm surprised there's a half-life layout, that's one of those little touches that makes it awesome. i'd never do it myself, but since it's there, it's just awesome.
Excellent and totally cool concept... though way over-priced to drum up any type of demand except web-traffic to see it in action. I could see deep-pocket companies (or government) dropping cash into this one for custom systems that require specific key layouts that change frequently, or for multi-system access with one keyboard to control each of them (again, each requiring different layouts). Not too sure of the usefulness to gamers at such an outrageous cost though. How about an ad disclaimer before you mention Apple again? lol, j/k there
On a side note, I'm curious how much Apple is kicking to you guys here at Engadget? You clearly indicate that the "default" keyboard has a Windows key, yet you go on to explicitly state it's hooked up to your Mac??? So what, other than cross-system usability, why didn't you demo it on a free Linux flavor or not even bother mentioning "It's a Mac!"? Macs are cool and all, but M$ systems have a much higher user-base, and thus, a potentially much larger market-base for sales/revenue. Not hating here, I have all flavors of OS's in my home, so I'm pretty much neutral in whichever OS works best for it's intended purpose. I just dislike blatant marketing spiel.
Cuz dude, all the cool silicon valley kids use macs :-). RB is from SF, that practically counts
hahahahahh, that's funny....they're trying to gain sales by pulling the video so you have to buy one of these ridiculously priced KEYBOARDS to see it in action. well, that's what I believe anyway I HATE THIS THING!!!! Way too overrated and over priced!!!
lame...
The manufacturer can't "pull" a video of someone else simply filming their product.
go to youtube
I don't see why they cant just make the spring or mechanical mechanism under the keys a little looser so the keys are easier to press. It seems like a pretty easy process for a manufacturer. Anyways, in the mean time, our DiNovo Edge's rein supreme!
lanejasper69 they wouldn't pull the video because it is bringing them publicity noob. The video will be up soon you will see
Get your shit together Engadget.
i think we need more comments about the video being down.
boo the video is not working :(
GOOD GOD! TEH VID IS DOWN!!!
Excuse me. Has anyone noticed the video isn't working?
