Bourne Conspiracy screens threaten to drown us

Just when we think we're coming to our senses about anticipating a licensed game Sierra Entertainment and High Moon Studios release new images of Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy.

Based on the best-selling series of novels, not the film trilogy starring Matt Damon, the game follows title character Jason Bourne in his pursuit to remember his past while using anything at his disposal to "take dudes out" -- including the kitchen sink. Bourne might be a licensed title, but from what we've seen it looks more comparable in quality to the awesome Chronicles of Riddick and less like craptastic Alvin and the Chipmunks.

We don't want to start a war but five points to anyone who can explain how Jason Bourne can switch from hand-to-hand to weapons on the fly with no delay yet Ryu of Ninja Gaiden II fame still hasn't figured that one out. The nine new screens are available inside.

Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy hits the Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer.
