Sony's MicroVault Click Excellence drives are Bill and Ted approved

Sony's MicroVault Click and Click Excellence range of USB drives were just announced in Europe. "Click," as in a clicking, retractable design with up to 16GB of flash capacity. "Excellence," as in an un-heinous 32MBps read and 11MBps write speed with a comforting, blinky-LED light for visual data flow. Unfortunately, the most excellent model is limited to a non-triumphant 8GB max capacity. Whoa, dudes.

San Dimas High School Football rules!!
Rufus White @ May 22nd 2008 8:45AM
Hi, and welcome to the future. San Dimas, California, 2688. And I'm telling you, everything is great. The air is clean. The water is clean. Even the dirt... is clean. Bowling averages are way up. Mini-golf scores are way down. And we have more waterslides than any other planet we communicate with. I'm telling you, it's great. But it almost wasn't. You see, 700 years ago the Two Great Ones ran into a few problems. So now I must travel back in time to help them out. If I should fail to keep these two on the correct path, the basis of our society will be in danger. Don't worry. It'll make sense. I'm a professional.

Will @ May 22nd 2008 9:39AM
Yes, these should be large enough to store my collection of Wyld Stallyns mp3s....
tekdroid @ May 22nd 2008 10:06AM
A small SDHC-accepting reader would be far better than yet another embedded flash stick like this, IMO. Not only is miniSD and microSD compatible with SD adaptors (and nearly always come with them), but they are extremely popular and dirt cheap. Truly dirt cheap.
Nifty retractable design tho.
Longevity
--------
Also, given that Flash has a finite write life, the USB stick with embedded Flash as a whole is another casualty reaching landfill, rather than just the flash itself, which I'm not too keen on.

people, stay on topic, i just got one today, and i tried to copy the software onto another thumb drive, but it deleted all the files on it, otherwise, this is an awesome product, but might take a little time getting used to the experimental software
