DIY Wall-E bot sweeps our heart up into his cute little storage compartment
Look at that little guy. No, seriously, look at him. You know why he's sad? He's sad because you haven't built him yet. He's thinking: "Oh, sure, life is grand on this work bench, picking up nuts and bolts, but I want to explore the big wide open. I want to be built by that person, reading this post right now on Engadget, so we can be friends forever and ever." Now, how can you resist a face like that? This particular DIY Wall-E's creator wrote up a 50 step tutorial so you can get to work right this very moment bringing this robotic little fuzzball to life. Don't delay. Video is after the break.

Good job it looks great!
3 more week 'til this movie opens. I'm looking forward to it.
wax on, wax off?
I will make this Wall-E and bring him to the theaters to see him in Wall-E
Why do I get the feeling that every time the little guy's head turns to the camera as the LEDs blind me with a force, I feel my brain getting erased?
He's not erasing your mind, he's toilet-snaking your soul.
AWWW, I wanna puke - it just looks so cute.
Wax on, wax off...just as good

Wrong.
Hey, I thought the video was gonna show he picking up stuff...?
Another in a long line of dumb Disney robots. Boring.
Wall-E is still in his programming stage, as the shell is almost complete. The completed Wall-E should be in about 4 to 5 weeks, We have see many diffrent action figures and diffrent R/C versions that all they do is flip over like the U-Command. This one will have all the sensors and speed control to advoid flipping on his back and will make his own disision on which way he will go next Plus he will have a few added supprizes in the programming as well. So keep and eye out for the completed Article so you too can have a hand built Wall-E that you can be proud of.

Hey there...I live in Rosemont IL and was wondering if anyone living around the area has actually built this. Please let me know if you have.
