I don't know about brighten as much as blind you to death and then burn your corpse.
LEDs are flippin' bright on webcams.
Even for a stars wars fan thats just too much bulk no enough sound effects LEDs and laser guided missle mayhem

Actually, it isn't. TIE Bombers have two fuselages (I suppose you'd call them that) between the solar panels instead of just one.
No that is the TIE Advanced prototype, the first TIE with shield and hyperdrive.

It's a TIE/Advanced x 1 (Darth Vader's personal prototype)
Not to be confused with the TIE/Advanced x 2, x3 or x7.
It lead to the development of the TIE/ad starfighter (commonly known as the TIE Avenger, so as not to get confused with the TIE/Advanced x 1) although this may in fact be the same as the TIE/Advanced x2.
The TIE/Advanced x3 and x7 both went on to develop different craft (the TIE/in / TIE Interceptor and the TIE/D / TIE Defender)
