Update: As noted in the comments, that 2G-style coloring is matched with an old-style squeeze-connector iPod cable, making this leak, at least, highly suspect.
Back to the old style squeeze-to-release dock connector then?
hooray for my custom-made dock-connector LED-Flashlight then.

The more I look at the picture of this thing, the blurrier it gets - and my eyes start to hurt.
This thing looks terrible, like a cheap chinese MP4 knockoff player.
Besides, who'd want a nano after the touch came out? Just save your'e money and buy the touch. Apple can afford to lose revenue until you have saved for the big boy.
Yep. Also, that screen couldn't look more fake if it tried. Took old-style 2G Nano and moved a few things around in Photoshop. Added a crap screen et voilà! Maybe I should start churning out these fakes - seems like any muppet with a computer can do it these days.

What do you mean "back to the old style squeeze connector?" My 3G Nano came with a squeeze connector when I bought it.
My old 3G iPod Nano had the squeeze-y dock connector. Works with my iPod Touch, too.
I run with an iPhone all the time. The touch screen is the easiest mp3 control I've ever used on the run. Try using a click wheel while in motion.
This thing looks exactly like a Chinese knockoff that I bought on eBay last year.

Umm, anyone notice that the device in the picture does not appear to have any curve to it? It looks like an old nano with a screen photoshop, not anything like a new nano. That begs the question, where is the source pic that this person photoshopped?

the cable is an old one. the new ones are without this small buttons on the left and right side.
Excuse me if I'm wrong but isn't the new nano suppose to have the dock towards the left not in the center.

I don't understand why so many people complain on engadget (and other tech sites) about repetitive stories. When I scroll through the stories, if there is something I don't like, I just keep scrolling. If you don't like the story, skip it. Its obviously in interested to some people. Just because certain products that come out get high attention doesn't mean there should be 1 story about it. More and more articles get created all the time, these sites are just here to help us find it. If you don't like it, don't read it.
Because Engadget know this will be a popular story.

look at the dock adapter (the plastic piece) its flat and don't allow for a curved design....plus look at the edge of the nano's screen it looks to choppy.

Hmm...I think that might be a photoshop of a blown up 2G. The screen doesn't looked curved, nor is any part of the ipod reflecting light like the rest of the picture.
note also the reflection of the left and right booklets in the bottom of the plastic case, the apple symbol appears in the wrong place w/r/t its position in the right booklet. that, poor aliasing, and recycling other ipod designs. not a particularly brilliant shop
Fake or not, my 1st generation iPod Nano sure does look weird now. The screen is smaller than an ant.
