So when is the Microsoft event, and are you going to live blog it too?

YEP! and im totlally digging the ads too!

http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/10/engadget-and-joystiq-live-from-microsofts-e3-2007-keynote/
in fact, if you click on the liveblog tag
http://www.engadget.com/tag/liveblog/
Engadget also does live blogs for a whole lot of other companies. In fact, from the 14 posts from that liveblog tag, only the first one is about Apple.
It's funny how these 'critics' love jumping to conclusion and yell "bias!!!11!!" (yes, read your own history, fred, you're full of this type of whining) when it seems like these people are blatantly biased towards anything Apple.
You fail, troll.
SOOPERGOOMAN @ Sep 8th 2008 10:46PM
FAIL!
NoneYa @ Sep 8th 2008 10:52PM
@LordFarkward He was talking about the Microsoft event tomorrow..... Not E3
You Fail.....
who? @ Sep 8th 2008 10:51PM
Sorry Fred, but I'm thinking NO. They might have some blurry photos for you...
fred @ Sep 8th 2008 10:51PM
@LordFackward
Wow, apparently you have a difficult time reading.
I asked If Engadget will be livebloging the MS event and the time that it starts.
And what exactly is your issue with that?
fenix @ Sep 8th 2008 10:54PM
@LordFarkward
Um, I don't think fred was being a troll at all. Microsoft is also holding a press event tomorrow with similar aims as Apple's event. I was also curious as whether Engadget was going to liveblog that event, but I guess it would be fruitless considering we know a lot of information regarding that event already.
In any case, I'd still enjoy a good liveblog of both events.
Carl Vitullo @ Sep 8th 2008 11:02PM
E3 isn't a Microsoft event....
MoonMan @ Sep 8th 2008 11:07PM
Ouch! EPIC FAIL to Lord Farkward. Pulled the trigger a little too fast; maybe this is why you have such a hard time with the ladies?
@ fred: Ballmer needs to get back to some sweaty, on-the-verge-of-cardiac-arrest dancing to get back some of that elusive media coverage. That fat b!tch needs to get caught being blown by a hooker to up his cool factor. Maybe solicit sex from a cop in a public washroom...
LordFarkward @ Sep 8th 2008 11:09PM
I admit that I may be wrong to imply covering MS's E3 is the same as covering MS itself, but all I'm pointing out (with lack of tact, sorry) is that your reply (and many other replies) implied Engadget is biased and doesn't do enough coverage for other companies. All I'm saying is that they do and I have provided links to prove my point.
Besides, as you posted in other threads, "If you dont like it, why are you here commenting on it?". Why not practice what you preach?
LordFarkward @ Sep 8th 2008 11:12PM
Wow MoonMan, and now I'm supposed to have difficulties with the ladies?
Internet's great for throwing totally on-topic and mature insults. Awesome.
fred @ Sep 8th 2008 11:20PM
@LordFarkward
Besides, as you posted in other threads, "If you dont like it, why are you here commenting on it?". Why not practice what you preach?
Will you be covering the Microsoft event and what time does it start = If you dont like it, why are you here commenting on it???
What the heck is wrong with you?
Where did I say dont like Engadget covering this? I do want to see the MS event covered but that does not mean I want this one censored out.
hushhush allyall @ Sep 8th 2008 11:25PM
Hey, could you guys keep it down?
I'm trying to read all the Engadget coverage of Google Chrome...
Nilay Patel @ Sep 8th 2008 11:23PM
@fred:
There isn't a Microsoft event tomorrow. If there was, we'd be there and liveblog it, but there isn't. They've already announced all the new Zune stuff, which we covered today, and tomorrow we're expecting them to announce the Blue Track mouse and some new webcams, which we've also already covered and will cover again tomorrow when they get official.
You know what happens when you assume things, right?
MoonMan @ Sep 8th 2008 11:30PM
Here you go LordAwkward, delivering the joke to you, since it is obviously a big jump for you:
"Pulled trigger to fast = premature ejaculation", and that's where the problem with the ladies joke comes in. It's a joke.
I understand you're on the defensive, but please, take it like a man, you blew it. Your lame excuse is no good.
ps - I made a spelling error for you to find, if pointing it out helps you divert attention from your EPIC FAIL
Billy Fiul @ Sep 8th 2008 11:30PM
Wow, LordFawkward, you failed so hard, I can hear it from Newtingtown! And don't bother responding with something mildly clever, because I won't bother reading it anyway. That’s how little you matter. You're not even a squirrel in my world.
Evan R. @ Sep 8th 2008 11:31PM
I am a far better Evan than you.
LordFarkward @ Sep 8th 2008 11:32PM
@ fred
Refer to your older comments, you obviously don't like Engadget's coverage of Apple and you like naming anyone who like Apple products as "fanboy retards".
So, please don't pretend that you only comment on things that you like. In fact, it seems like a vast majority of your posts are criticisms towards Engadget and Apple. So much for "if you don't like it, don't comment on it"...
MoonMan @ Sep 8th 2008 11:37PM
@ LordAwkward
Now now, stop attacking fred, this is your EPIC FAIL thread, not his...
LordFarkward @ Sep 8th 2008 11:38PM
Oh wow OMG I'm suddenly cornered and surrounded by angry kids going through puberty.

I promise this is my last reply in this thread. Please just remove your bats and go back to school, and stay there.
belden @ Sep 8th 2008 11:38PM
I'm not trying to piss anyone off or take sides here, but I don't think you can compare the two events and say they should both be treated equally. Whether you like them or not, the fact is Apple is the market share leader when it comes to digital music players. So when they introduce new models it IS a bigger deal than when any other company does it and I'm sure the stockholders can second that. So I personally don't believe it's an issue of bias (whether it exists on this site or not is another issue).
But besides that, Microsoft's event isn't even solely for Zunes. If you look at the invitation and the details surrounding it, the MAIN product they are showcasing and introducing is a new blue laser mouse, along with webcams and Zunes. And I'm sorry, does anyone on Engadget really want or need to read a liveblog about a new mouse?
And added to all this, Microsoft has basically already made their announcements. They issued a press release with prices, release dates, and everything else for the new Zunes. What would be the point of extensive live coverage when we already know everything they are going to say? That just seems like wasted resources.
Apple on the other hand almost always has at least one surprise no one knows is coming. I remember last September when they had their iPod event and everyone was expecting new Nanos and iPod models, but no one expected there to be THREE new products (Nano 3G, iPod Classic, and iPod Touch). Everyone had gone in expecting either not expecting the Touch at all or thinking the Touch was going to eliminate the need for an iPod Classic. The reason why it needs to be blogged live is simply so that Engadget is still relevant. It gets information to those who want it faster and keeps the page counts up instead of people going to some other site that has faster news available.
Dinesh @ Sep 9th 2008 2:40AM
@Nilay
Was enjoying the comment bickering until I read what I'm sure you considered coherent thoughts.
I am always entertained by the escalating level of your Personal Douche Index.
Stop belittling your readers if they happen to be critical of the coverage.
"You know what happens when you assume." Yeah, you make an ass out of you and me. But trust me yaar, your enough of an ass for both of us.
Looking forward to your next post!
DukeGraham @ Sep 9th 2008 11:09AM
I would guess, based on their deal expiring with Verizon and the new album coming out, that AC/DC will make their catalog available to iTunes. Maybe they got the "entire album only" deal they wanted.

I don't know yet, but I'm hoping to graduate from high school and get my associates degree in the same year.
@Carl Vitullo
Just a local community college. I'd rather not say where I live, I'm sure you understand. Can't be too careful these days.
Why did I get low ranked? I was just going off of what the other guy said about his school schedule. Hmm... What do you guys think?
Brad @ Sep 9th 2008 12:15AM
"I'm 16 and I'm in college full time Mondays and Wednesdays only. Best deal ever."
Taking community college classes two times a week while you live at your parents' does not count as "in college" - that's the academic equivalent of saying you "play golf" because you can hit the ball off the tee two out of five swings.
No college worth attending in the US would accept someone who is 16 and that poorly motivated. All you've done is brag about how you were so bad at or disinterested in school you transferred to a place where they cared even less if you bothered to show up or do well. Did you tell yourself that it was all because you "Didn't like the way high school was taught" or was it because the "Teachers/administration had it out for you."
And in the years I was in college I only once had a 3-day schedule, and that was while I was working in a lab. Then again, my education mattered and my school was reputable.
A hate arrogant prick kids like you that think you're too damn special or smart to actually bother working hard. Such a waste.

@brad
To be fair, I went to a CC as a dual credit back when I was a homeschooler. The actual schooling wasn't bad and was better than I would have gotten at a local high school's AP program. The problem with community college that I observed was that it was isolating and could be sociologically and developmentally destructive if you didn't know how to live life and be responsible. Which happens a lot at community college.
who? @ Sep 9th 2008 3:15AM
@Brad
Well, I'm sorry, but I'm enjoying college. A few of my friends went too, and it is actually better than high school for socializing. As for that fairy tale about problems with authority- my dad is the principal and I know almost all the staff members personally (my parents usually throw the staff Christmas party). It was actually on my counselors recommendation that I did PSEO!
Don't judge what you don't know.
who? @ Sep 9th 2008 3:27AM
Also, I had a 3.979 GPA, letter in academics, track, cross country, and knowledge bowl.
I rank in the top 5% of my grade, and I've never missed a day of school unless I was really sick or got excused for an event (track/CC).
This leads me to a question for you: what is your problem?
CJ @ Sep 9th 2008 8:14AM
Hey who?
You claim to have such impressive grades, and such a great intelligence
And yet you've managed to fail to sound intelligent in any of the dozens of posts you've written here on Engadget. Why is that I wonder.
I'm thinking that mabye you are an idiot savant, you know, super smart, but can't tie their own shoelaces, or, if you are 16 as you claim, an arrogant little shit.
Hush @ Sep 9th 2008 8:29AM
Why are you guys cracking on some kid who's trying to advance himself with education? You Sirs, sound very smart... Probably because you don't have a degree and hate the fact this kid at 18 will have more education that you do at 28. Either way these Apple threads bring the best out in people. LOL.
who? @ Sep 9th 2008 9:32AM
You know, Hush, I think you have a point. I've been called arrogant, a prick, and an idiot, when all I wrote was my school schedule and said I had a good deal. I just don't know man... People have issues.
