Legend of Chun-Li trailer apparently has Street Fighter characters in it

Finally, footage has been released for the new Street Fighter film, The Legend of Chun-Li in the form of a Japanese movie trailer. When it was originally announced we were worried that Capcom wouldn't learn from the mistakes made by the first - admittedly, rad for all the wrong reasons - flick starring JCVD. Looks like we were right.

If you're clicking the jump to watch the trailer for shots of your favorite characters in Street Fighter garb then stop now. None of the characters wear costumes, really. Vega's in there somewhere but he looks kind of sad. In fact, if we were approached in a dark alley and mugged by someone who looked like this version of Vega we'd throw him coin out of pity, not so much out of fear.

A while back, Producer Patrick Aiello said in a question/answer post on the movie's site that it would be silly to try and replicate the costumes from the game. We guess we understand what he means but instead of giving us some fan service they've decided to scrap it all - except for Chun-Li's hairbuns! You know, if Chris Nolan can make a dude in a rubber suit look cool with fancy camera work and lighting then maybe these cats should try something. Creativity comes to mind.
