The Queue: I have no regrets. Well, maybe one...

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column where the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Maintenance day, maintenance day! One of the best days of the week, or one of the worst? I'll leave that to all of
you to decide.

Nautical D asked...

I stopped playing WoW just before 3.0 patch came out and deleted all my characters and items to make sure I didn't return, is there any way I could get back and start on WotLK without having to roll new chars?

As some of our readers commented, if you felt strongly enough about quitting to delete everything, are you really sure that you want to come back? I don't mean to discourage you from playing WoW if you want to play WoW, but there must have been a reason you deleted everything, right?

If you want to come back, there are a couple of things that you can try. The easiest is to make a low level alt and file a GM ticket, telling them your situation. They'll probably ask you all sorts of questions, so be prepared for that. The other thing you can do is try to contact them by phone. They can typically restore everything, but sometimes they can't. If they can't, you gotta reroll.

I was wondering if you could get the opposing factions motorcycle mount through the Neutral AH since it's BoE. I think it'd be cool to see someone riding around SW with a Horde chopper.

Nope, this doesn't work because while the Motorcycles are BOE, they have racial restrictions. If you look at their tooltip, only the Horde races can ride the Hog and only Alliance races can ride the Chopper.

Slavic asked...

As a lock I'm being told I'm not geared for raids, my armory page says my SP is 1343, however when I'm self buffed with Fel Armor it's more like 1667 SP. I politely point this out to raid leaders but I'm just ignored. I'm I really under geared or am I getting unfairly jilted?

Your Spell Power alone isn't going to carry you into raids. There are other stats you need to work on in addition to that, the most important one being Spell Hit. If you only stack Spell Power and nothing else, your DPS is going to be pretty horrible. You want to get as close to the hit cap as possible. I have a +Hit gear reference guide that I wrote awhile back that's aimed at Shadow Priests but would really work for any caster. Check it out, work on your hit, look into typical raiding talent specs and that sort of thing, and give it another go.
