SKIGYM simulator lets you break a hip from the comfort of your living room

The Wii Balance Board may be all well and good if you want to play things safe, but those looking to up the danger level a tad will no doubt want to give this new SKIGYM simulator some serious consideration, with it promising to improve your skiing ability and give you a workout in the process. Apparently, you can either hook the fully-motorized device up to your PC and play the included Alpine Ski Racing game, or simply use it on its own as a piece of exercise equipment -- we're guessing it's also only a matter of time before someone uses it to control a robot. Not surprisingly, this piece of living room clutter will also put quite a dent in the old bank account, with it running €1,649, or roughly $2,300.

wouldn't it be cheaper to hire a ski instructor?
Considering that's Bruce Wayne, I don't think we'll have to worry about pricing.
Some people just have money to burn.
Don't worry, I rigged it to blow when he finishes the race.
I bet you could lose lots more weight on this than you could on wii fit.
....from eating all the hospital food you'll get after you smash your head on your Plasma TV
Ohh Yeah! this is going to be a hit in Federal Prison.
I want to know whose idea it was to crop that picture, yet take the time to keep that man's ass in it?
Stupid sexy advertisement!
I lol'd too hard for this one
When I look at that guy in the picture, the first thing that comes to mind is all the possible body parts that could be broken.
Hip, ankles, shins, arms, and the list goes on and on...

"Ahhh...just got home from work. I feel like skiing. Instead of changing out of my work clothes, I'm just going to go ski in my shirt and tie!" -_-
That was the first thing I noticed. Who in their right mind engages in such frivolous entertainment in a worksuit?
...someone at the office during their lunch break.
maybe he's going online with his BOSS and wants to look Snazzy,
or it's an Ernst & Young online meeting in the Virtual Alps after Home

I didn't notice his ass. You've got a keen eye !!!
Thought he was playing Wii for a second....then i scrolled down. Anyone else have that experience?
No, but mark my words.. couple months from now they will release the WiiSki, which does all this, for $100, but it's made out of white plastic, so it won't last long..
yep, I dunno why his butt sticks out of the picture though, It's alot easier if u use the wii fit
Couldn't someone make a Balance Board Mod to do just this. For I don't know 2 grand less.
The model's ski poles and the computer simulation are out of sync. Is that what $2k buys you?
Is that man wearing dress pants and skiing at the same time?
Think of the convenience of this product!!!
I'm going to guess that you approve, amirite?
Wonder if you can still do the trick where kuma the bear comes out, breaks the skiers off the skis and uses them himself
Why is everyone worried about hurting them selves on it? I'm sure I would have less chance of hurting myself on that then when I'm actually skiing.
That is a nice butt.
That's what she sa...
aw, hell; nevermind...
I bet you'd like to see a close-up?

Nothing like wearing dress heals when working out.
Is Europe lacking snow this time of year?
This is great! Now I can go skiing without having to worry about any rogue yeti attacks!!
How about a snowboard version? Funny when you fall over..
Wii Ski and Wii Fit would cost $110 and be about as cool.
His ass bothers me.
But I have to say is a nice ass indeed. Very nice.
On skis you lean to counteract the horizontal vector (G-forces); and on this thing, you lean to ???
This sports simulators are always flawed by design. This won't train you for skiing any more than a set of leg exercises (free).
On this, you lean to fall over.
Although I haven't checked, couldn't you just go get a log cabin for a few days for $2,300 and actually learn to ski?
like im gonna have a livign room filled with all this kind of shit, worse enough Wii has all them stupid ass attachments from 3rd parties. only ones cool is the baseball bat and maybe the tennis racket but the bat for sure. anything else is stupid. oh and the wheel, but only nintendos.
guaranteed to provide a maximum loss of dignity
Flanders: 'Its like I'm wearing nothing at all, nothing at all......'
ahh stupid s3xy flanders.....
with the kind of money this thing costs, you'd be better off buying a NordicTrack. At least it will give you a better workout.
Maybe this is easier to find that the Wii fit and balance board right now?
It seems, this machine only having the movement of up-down, and
left-right inclining of the boots(?). Without having sliding or rotating
movement of left-right, it wouldn't work.
it would be more ridiculous if he was actually wearing skiing gear right?
