T-Mobile bringing the BlackBerry Curve 8900 in February
Sprint's now officially holding up the tail end of the BlackBerry train in the States (though hopefully not for long) now that T-Mobile has announced that the thoroughly modern Curve 8900 is hitting the lineup. Like the 8320 before it, the 8900 does WiFi for UMA-based HotSpot calling service and a 3.5mm headphone jack, but the similarities end there; besides arguably becoming the hottest BlackBerry in RIM's stable, the 8900 features a 3.2-megapixel cam with image stabilization and a glorious 480 x 360 display that'll put anything shy of a Storm to shame. Look for it next month -- T-Mobile hasn't committed to a date, though we have no reason to doubt the 11th rumor at this point.

@sshole
My question is will it be T-Mobile 3G compatible? According to a T-Mobile store employee, my area is getting it next March.
This phone does not have 3G.
8900 has been out in other country for awhile. So it shouldn't be a surprise that it doesn't have it. EDGE only people.
But those of you waiting for the 3G version (Magnum / 9220 or possibly 9300), will have to wait until sometime in 2HCY09; I think ATT has dibs on it first though.
I await you on Verizon, BlackBerry Curve 8900! Even if I have to wait a bit...
wow do i feel dumb i just realized how your name and avatar go together... but ya i feel bad for you being verizon. im on t-mobile and my upgrade is feb 14th, no joke!
@ Mike
Seconded. Get your shit together, Verizon.
So it's a Bold with less memory and more megpixels
and no 3g...
..and no 3G, if I'm not mistaken.
boring bb,.not revolutionary lacks balls,.question ?is this a "uknowwhatkiller",. Just another phone to add to bb lineup.
Oh look! Its my new phone!
Nice, now I have to debate to go to the Storm after my tmobile contract or stay and go with that. Hmm, the Storm hasnt lived up to its hype yet. Maybe some updates will help it.
So pretty...
more blackberry love, ill wait for the 3G bb for Tmo
Is it me or does the keyboard look a tad more spacious than your run-of-the-mill BB? (and yes that does mean you too Mr Bold) The keys look a bit bigger, if not a little more spaced apart. My big hangup with Blackberrys has always been the cramped little keys (pathetic next to my enV2) and if this thing improves on that it could be a contender providing it hits Verizon (which it inevitably will, just a matter of when) before my contract is up (I've got awhile)
Did anyone else notice that the site lists GPS as a feature?
That's cuz GPS *is* a feature. This isn't the Curve 8300 that we're talking about.
Isn't this the same bold that at&t was dropping due to bad technical issues?
I would love to get this but EDGE...urgh. One time I switched over to a T-Mobile Curve from a Sprint Curve and I almost slit my wrist waiting for Google Maps to load on the TMo one. Never again.
I gotta say I'm loving the new facelift they've given the blackberry OS, and this coming from an iphone user.
I like the look, but after all the news about Barack's breachable bberry and reading this: http://justaskgemalto.com/en/news/obama%E2%80%99s-blackberry-digital-security-symptom I want to make sure my device is secure as well as functional.
