Star Trek USB Communicator dials up galactic jetsetters
Heads-up, Trekkies! We just stumbled upon the perfect complement to your LCARS-esque touchscreen, and chances are that you won't have to sell off too many Spock action figures in order to procure it. Created by Dream Cheeky, this VoIP / Skype phone is powered by USB and looks pretty much exactly like one of those classic Star Trek Communicators. Best of all, there's a velcro backing in order to mount it up for everyone to see. Because you will want everyone checking this out, right?

dat is a must buy.
No matter how many times I watch the original Star Trek, it never ever gets cheesy.
In fact, I perfer the old original to the remastered edition.
Whatever happened to the Sona Star Trek Communicator phone? It was delayed and then never made it to market. Now that would be super geeky.

Hmmm one more 'never get laid' gadgets. Are americans in some sort of birth control program?
You say that like it's a bad thing.
I agree with this....
Shiiiiiiiit! I need that and a new haircut!
Needs to be Bluetooth next, for maximum verisimilitude.
And who say there was no use for Wireless USB...
Fascinating....
that and a tricorder and i am so getting laid....
You can use the tricorder to scan for receptive females, and the communicator to hail them.
Why, you'd be practically guaranteed success! :P
So you can boldly go where no geek has gone before!
Never mind about me, protect the ship!
(just practicing)
Can't anyone make an authentic replica of a Star Trek Communicator with Bluetooth technology? A nice speakerphone, a couple of preset telephone number on the buttons, and flip to answer and hang up...
Exactly.. I'm a nerd and proud of it! I would love to keep the phone in my pocket and whip one of these out to answer instead.
When they make a cell phone that looks like a communicator...then ill buy one.
Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahn!
Must... resist... reaching for.. credit card
Beem me up mom.
Epic win......
Some of us prefer to be called Trekkers, thank you very much. Trekkie sounds too much like some kind of cutesy, chocolaty, candy-thing sitting on a shelf at a 7-Eleven.
This phone is pretty cool, though.
Thanks Marty, but only religious cults are allowed to name themselves. But we'll keep your suggestion in mind.
BTW, hasn't this technology been ancient since before Piccard? And do these things make that tsch-tsch sound?
As much as I love both shows for what they were, the original series was MUCH more groundbreaking in it's themes and pushing the boundaries of what was acceptable on television at the time.
Though TNG told infinitely better stories.
Set phasers to - "Hellz YEAH! get me some of that!"
