Tree Camera doubles as really cute MP3 player, doesn't take stills
We've always heard that judging a book by its cover is a bad, bad idea, and if you're assuming this wooden camera takes snaps first and plays tunes second, you'd be terribly mistaken. In fact, The Tree Camera is actually a DAP alone (sorry for crushing your dreams), and aside from boasting a standard headphone jack, it includes 256MB of storage and plays nice with OGG, WMA and MP3 file formats. We'd say it's totally cute enough to justify the $43 price tag, and even more so if the wood used to make is, you know, real wood.

real wood mp3-player and white/silver plastic earphones? looks great...NOT!
WTF is this? Where the hell are the wood earphones? Someone dropped the ball on this.
Seriously, can we say - CRAP! What's next, a cardboard re-mp3 player?
Don't let it get wet. Or eat anything greasy while using it.
Cool idea. It would be even cooler, if it was a wooden MP7-Player though... -.-
it's still cool though.
I never use the crappy earbuds that come with mp3 players anyway.
Or.. Maybe you could encase them in a giant wooden helmut.
Won't somebody please think of the trees?
It's cute, but really, 256MB? Nothing like loading up an entire album before heading out, and getting confused for a gigantic tourist with a tiny camera.
Now, if this had a giant Apple logo on it and cost 3 times as much...
I'm pretty sure that they _did_ actually think of the trees and then said "hell, let's make MP3 players out of them!'
Ah, touche. Me, I think of trees and I think I could burn them to offset my gargantuan heating bill.
I think this thing should be made of some ultra-exotic, near extinct Madagascar hardwood just to remind those trees who's boss around here. Then it would be worthy of the aforementioned trople price, though I don't think the fruit merchants would like that so much.
Still bitter about falling out of that tree at the tender age of 25.
I would say that if you are in the market for a tiny mp3 player you should get an ipod nano, although if this works with WMP and winAMP ect. the user wouldn't have to install crappy software.
Why would I do that when I can get a creative etc. player for like $20?
Quite cute.
256MB of storage... It must be using a wooden chip.
