RAmos T9 iMovie 2 PMP: 800 x 480, 16GB, $132

Yes, the kids at RAmos have arrived with that 800 x 480 PMP we first espied sometime in December. As you might have guessed, the T9 iMovie 2 is the followup to the smash hit T8 iMovie, sporting a polished aluminum alloy frame, 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, and 16GB storage. No further details at the moment, but if you can track this guy down he'll run you about $132.

ok
its for people who sut...sut...sutter and like mu...mu...music!
Stutter?
very very nice. Now I'm torn between this and the ONDA VX545HD 5"
Wow, that's a pretty good price.
Where do I order?
Wow! That looks pretty nice. I was planning on picking up a Nano later this week, but might grab this, instead.
Anybody have a link to where they sell these?
I agree with Taylor. Yes, Taylor.
"...our products on pictogram see humble, but the sound Yuet Department has given a series of products we do not like the feeling". lol
Why so small storage? It's freaking 2009. It is they're stingy with the storage aspect....like it's so scarce they have to be economical about it...during the design phase..
well, a) it costs $130, and b) that's probably solid state so it's not like there are that many players near that price point that have that much
@John, this will def. make a nice gift... but definitely won't be for personal use..my music library is over 20GB not to even talk about my movies library.
And my music library is nearly 100 gigs. So? This still seems like a pretty great deal to me. No, I'm not going to put *all* of my music or movies on it, but for something with a screen and of that size, 130 bucks isn't bad at all. Especially when you consider it's SSD.
No matter how much they put, it will never be enough with todays storage options.
For example, my multimedia collection = 400 GB, show me one handheld PMP that can store all of that.
16 gigs is too small? Apple still sells an 8gb ipod touch! the 16gb ipod touch is freaking $300. The new Palm Pre only comes with 8gb of memory, period. I think $130 for 16gb is great. I would love more space but it's flash memory man, that's the state of the market. If you want more space get a Hard drive based player, but they are more fragile, so I'd rather have flash memory. Just because it's not for you doesn't, by any means, make it stupid. Take a look around before you open your mouth.

I agree with Taylor. Yes, Taylor.
Maybe it's just me, but who ACTUALLY buys things like this? I didn't realize there was such a huge market for entertainment on the go. I don't mean to be so negative, but I find tech like this to be absolutely useless.
However, I'm sure for every one person who agrees with me, there's at least 30 who will think just the opposite.
i think the opposite of you. i have a pmp and use it every day when i work out to watch tv shows.
LOL maybe that's your problem, you should go outside more. Ppl who ride trains and planes find this pretty useful.
yep. i got an archos 5 and today on the bus 50th person asked me what the hell it was (only cuz the screen's so big). one other time i was at mcdonalds and some guy started raving about how it "blows ipod out the water". i digress. but yeah, people use these things.
@trevor....
Just give the guy the Archos 5 for a day. He will need rehab after having to deal with all the BS glitches and bugs.
what glitches? I must've got the one God was supposed to get...
My fat aunt in Florida listens to mumu music. The accompanying dance moves are rough on the ol' constitution, just pray that she's not wearing last year's mumu.
Dude, you must be from 9jeria.... no doubt... mumu is yoruba word..
A mumu is also a dress that fat ladies wear because they can't fit into anything that actually has individual legs.
Seems like such a great product, but I despise the "i" in it's name. Thanks to all the idiots that comment on this site.
What audio/video formats does it play?
Look at bottom right of the picture.
RMVB, AVI, WMV, FLV, DAT, MPG, VOB
Hopefully when they say AVI they mean DiVX and XViD (they probably do).
I liked the first vampire hunder D movie... especially the music! haaaaa nostalgia.
I get out fairly often, fly twice a month. However, I rather read a book and my flights are less than 2 hours. I work out 5 days a weekl, but I use my Samsung MP3 player because it's really light and when I'm lifting weights or running (outside, not on some silly treadmill :-), I could never justify having such a device.
If I took long flights often, I could see where this would make sense.
Then why did you click the link to this article?
Why did you reply to this post?
Because your a douche bag and I felt that someone should point that out.
Well since we're pointing things out, I'll point out that what you said was your opinion. It's like an a-hole, we all have one. Fine. However, it is a fact that you apparently don't know the difference between your and you're. And yet YOU'RE calling me out.
It's a shame that we can't discuss our own opinion about a product on a public forum without people like you posting unnecessary comments.
But you are being a douche.
Impressive!
130$, 16gb, touchscreen, 800x480, most format support...
No kidding I hope it will be a hit!
Anyone have a Ramos product?
nice, cheap, but 16giggers, cant do it
So it's "illegal" to jailbreak an iPhone but it's OK to call a product "iMovie"? Please start making sense, Apple!
No doubt its a good price for the HARDWARE. But cheap pmps like these always have the most unfortunate FIRMWARE. YouTube Ramos pmp and take a look at the firmware. Then see if your still interested. I for one don't understand why these companies don't understand how valuable an organized UI is. Not to mention the cheap Crayola color schemes and ugly file thumbnails littering the screen. Maybe being a graphic designer makes me snobby, but I cant stand an ugly UI.
I was going to say the same thing, nice price and decent hardware but probably an UGLY firmware with horrible translations.
If anyone is considering buying this player, wait for a review, or at least someone playing with it on Youtube.
This is what the next iphone should look like. but thinner.
Looks like they skimped on performance!
