Romain Jerome's watch reveals The Truth About Roswell

It's all here: alien remains, the Yucca Flat tracks of a US Air Force collection vehicle, and the exploded gears of an unearthly aircraft. No, this hellish landscape is not some declassified aerial view taken aboard a Janet Airlines flight. Rather, it's the latest watch face from Romain Jerome's Moon Dust-DNA collection. Unfortunately, the price of The Truth About Roswell watch is all very hush-hush as you'd expect from a Swiss-crafted watch limited to a 9 piece run. Now hurry up and check the un-cropped image after the break -- we're expecting the authorities any second.

Is that a 3D render mock up, or the real thing? I can't believe it'll have so much detail in real.
Do you need reading glasses, or are your screen just not adjusted? I can't believe you had to ask that question.
Sorry I must need reading glasses I can't see anywhere where it says if it's a photo or a render. Maybe YOu could point it out fo rme?
I believe Stubb was suggesting that this picture is an extremely obvious render that doesn't look even slightly like a real photograph.
i work designed 3d models and i hardly i can say that it is a cg work.
You could also give this as a read link: http://www.romainjerome.ch/en/moon-dust-dna/presskit-en.aspx
Plenty more pictures etc.
+1
Imo it's fairly easy to see that this is just a render, not a photograph of a real watch.
If you can't believe it has so much detail in RL, why did you bother to ask the question? The detail sharpness and pixelation is the tell-tale signs, as well as non-existing/unrealistic shadows/reflections.
go check the link I gave. Every pic there is a render, you can train your eagle-eye on them.
Or you could just look and see that it's.... floating in outer space.
Do want.
Sorry for multi-posting, but goddamnit, engadget. Do some research ffs.

Stubb -- relax bro, this watch was NOT part of the original Moon Dust launch, it was just announced on the 5th ffs, as I think you put it.

Thomas
I see.
Sorry about that, looks like I should let you do your job, and focus on doing my own. ffs.
Tor
thats the hottest thing Ive ever seen
Sorry, I could be way off on this one. But, from my experience watches have always had adjustable straps (i.e. more than 1 slit for the hook)...or is this watch such a premium that it is custom fitted to the buyer's wrist?
If anybody knows, please enlighten me.
Other than that, a very fine timepiece indeed.
Given that the watch is only produced in 9units, I would guess that each one is highly personalized.
It can't be that much of a secrect......Engadget having found out and all.
Wow.
Sexiest watch ever. Do want.

Thanks for the mention Thomas! Always happy to provide coverable news!

I like the dead little alien bodies. It would be cool if one of them crawled around as the seconds hand.
Seeing some videos of those watches I am pretty sure they are similar to the hellraiser box and open the gates to hell upon use.
I love reading some comments on here... Some of you are sooooo convinced, just by the first image, that this picture is computer rendered. Have you even considered that a REAL photo could have been computer enhanced? That would also account for digital artifacting/aliasing. Plenty of "professional" images are manipulated to the point that they no longer look anything like the originals they came from.
If you visit the product page you'll find more watches that look exactly the same, only with different textures.
What an ugly watch! I would rather get an Alain Silberstein watch or an IWC, or a Ross & Bell.
Now THOSE are beautiful watches.
