Casio's high-speed EX-FS10 bursts into stores a little later and pricier than expected
Looking to get some bodacious slow-mo shots of your latest kick-flip? Maybe fake a moon landing or two? Or, how about taking some blurry 9.1 megapixel pictures through a 3x non-stabilized zoom lens? All this can be yours, dear readers, later this month when Casio launches the EX-FS10 point-and-shoot, capable of capturing full-res video at 30fps or cut-rate 224 x 64 footage at a whopping 1000fps. If you don't mind pasty cameras (and live in Japan) you can buy yourself one in white on March 27. Red and gray versions will ship a few weeks later, on April 10, all for around $450.

I would go for the EX-FC100 ($335.44 Amazon)

Any word on the US release date for the EX-FC100?
the exilims are a good serise, but i cant imagin what a compact cam user is gonna do with 30fps..... do you think it will ever get the exposure correct?
or maybe its for really bad photographer who hope if they take 30 0ne will be okay
It looks like something from 2001.
2001? are you lost of you mind, that time point and shoot only has like 1 or 2 megal pixel. and many can't even shoot video.
The era of spray and pray compacts has arrived.
And really, complaining about blurry pictures through a non-stabilized 3x zoom? Learn to hold a camera.
dyanisis, it says 30fps video not 30fps photos.
It says full res video, wonder whether they mean 1080p or 720p or maybe even 720i or 1080i.
Shame the res is so low for 1000fps, would be nice to see 848x480 (16:9) in 300fps or something instead.
I've had the FC-100 for a few days now its a nice camrea. The res at 1000 is really low and to be honest the 210 fps mode is the better option. As for HD Movies it 720p 30 fps and for taking photos it can take 6 megapixel photos at 30 photos per second.
Over all i like it.
nice pocker camera offer lots of power but i prefer ultra zoom one.
engadget needs to stop doing straight currency conversions. Amazon has the FS10 pre-order for $349. Happy now?
