Keepin' it real fake, part CXCIV: Nokia N83 is not a Nokia N83

While the shortly flaunted N83 never did amount to anything back in the day, we can safely say the device you see above is definitely not what the suits in Espoo had in mind. The touchscreen-based smartphone looks about as thick as an N95, though we can't recall ever seeing a flavor of Symbian look anything like this. If you care to know, the phone sports a 400 x 240 resolution panel, 0.3 megapixel camera (ha!), dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth, FM radio module, about two to three hours of talk time and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. But hey, it's only a buck 'o five off-contract, or exactly the price of freedom according to certain puppets.

the N83 from the 2006 rumours later turned out to be the N95 so it did amount to something ;)


however this phone looks like a complete POS. Why did they even call it a Nokia if it doesn't resemble any of their phones?

i actually brought this mobile quite some time ago because it looked pretty hi tech.
but it wasnt the camera quality isnt 0.3 its actually 2.0megapixels
it has a webcam feature once you put it into the computer.
and it says NOKIA not IVOKIA.

but all comes down to one thing S*** mobile, dont buy unless your buying and selling them to someone who will pay stupid money for these mobiles. this is my 5th chinese mobile i have sold... LMFAO!!!

actually this is quite funny, im in china at the moment and bought this phone 2 weeks ago haha, it has a crap camera even though its meant to 2.0 megapixels not 0.3, half is in chinese and half english, the menu system is fairly easy to use although not as easy to navigate as i would like. unfortunately my phone doesnt even have the right spelling mines called a nokoia haha the touchscreen does not respond that well, well no where near the standard of the iphone. i think this phone looks fairly smart, and intially feels like a good build quality but after using it for a week, im kinda pissed at it and only keep old sims in to store all my contacts as backups

i have ended up buying a real nokia 1650 as it was cheap and good enough just to make calls and texts. plus if it gets nicked or lost i won't care too much, i would like the fake nokia to get robbed if at all possible.
