You can tell in the video after getting nowhere with the phone the person filming decided to make pretty lines with his fingertip and gave up on trying to do anything useful with it. And they brought this to a trade show.. silly mfg's

Yeah I don't think this phone is worthy of an engadget post.
I don't get why they bothered to point out all its flaws.
Am I the only one who thinks it obvious that there will be a quality difference between a KIRF phone made in a Chinese teenager's basement and one made by a team of engineers in Scandinavia with hundreds of thousands of dollars for development?
I actually quite like KIRFs. It's interesting to see how close they can get to the real thing. Not evidenced in this case, but some of them are actually quite good considering the limited time and money spent on making them.
usually not even KIRFs are so spectacularly buggy and useless. so this one is kind of special :P

Yet, the Zune was listed as worst gadget of the year! What a world we live in.
I tried do be different 2 years ago n bought zune . Was worst mistake ever, this comingvfron someone that's owned 9 different brand of mp3's. iPhone and iPod touch have given kiss of death to zune. Rumor target walmart will discontinue zune. When I own a $3500 car stereo system guess what iPhone /iPod blow anything outta the water when it comes to steering wheel integration not to mention voice command for iPod control . The way of the future.

All these flaws , sounds like they describing real nokias. I have nothing against nokia, was my first phone in 1996. There is no denying nokia phones are stuck in the 90's, zero innovation. I have zero loyalty to carrier or cell manufacturer , I do though have loyalty to innovation. Now more than ever nokia geared for third world countries, only countries they have success in . Americans will never buy low qual phones, at least not in high numbers. I mean even welfare recipients carry iphone her in USA, nokia has died here in America.!

those 5mpx cameras are great for taking pix of your hot wife but you probably don't need that, oh and the sports tracker is awesome but you probably don't run or bike, oh and did you see the handwriting calculator that's really cool for somebody like me who needs to do complicated math for work but than again you probably don't need that. buy hey have fun farting and playing that stupid flute cuz i guess that's innovation at its best ... right.

Well, it looks a little like an N97, but I don't get that they are really trying to pass it off as genuine.

Chinese manufacturing at it's best. Try to do a cheap rip off of a product they already make for someone else, and they manage the "cheap" part and the "ripoff" part but not the "product" (as in useful) part.
Actually, no, that's not Chinese manufacturing at its best. Perhaps if you've bothered to look at what they're doing in mechanical watches (go check out the forums at Watchuseek), making many of the only non-Swiss tourbillon & repeater movements. On a more gadgety note, perhaps Lenovo, or even the SmartQ 5 has shown how much they've improved. Problem is they lack the marketing savvy to demonstrate to others what they CAN do as the rest of the world only likes to show what they can't do.
But... I like phones that draw red lines!

I had one that was fake, fake, tiny, fake, buggy, fake, tiny and fake.
Hopefully there will be one soon that's only tiny, fake and buggy. That one'll hardly have any fake in it.
