GameStop offers up silver DualShock 3 controller for North America

If that all-black DualShock 3 controller has just grown stale, and you're not about to drop any coinage to have Colorware liven things up, GameStop has a fantastic solution -- so long as you're a fan of silver, that is. As of today, the firm's website has a clear listing for a satin silver version of the wireless SIXAXIS, and anyone familiar with the silver PS2 controller will no doubt notice the striking similarities. Just so you know, this one's been available in the Japanese market for eight centuries now, but it looks like the North American crowd can finally yell "me too!" when parting with $54.99 on June 24th.

Choose a nice colour and just make your new console in it. If you fancy a colour change - make me a new console to buy first.

the 360 has the worst colors ever. pink, light blue, red. black, white and silver are fine for controllers and consoles.

Just get a import PS3 from Japan or find a company in U.S. that sells import PS3's, had my white Japanese PS3 for a few months now, cost me a pretty penny but is worth it, just pop in a bigger hard drive, I use a 500 gig I got from newegg.com

I didn't know it was that uncommon. The video game store I buy my stuff from is owned by Koreans and they import a lot of stuff. I don't think they charged anything extra.

I have 2 black DualShock3s, a silver DualShock3 and I just got a white DualShock3 to replace the black SixAxis that came with my 60gb.
I'm hoping for a 4th color to come out to replace one of my black DualShock3s

Dude my Local PlayNTrade has been carrying the silver versions like 6 months after the ps3 came out (They Were Imported but still worked) i guess thats what can hider a corprate business they cant take advantage of all options out there and have to stick by a strict manual :p
