and people people the reciept only charges for the dock so 49 is correct ....the 20 would be the matter back cover which eerily is to the right of it....damn Chris W sold the kit for $50

Nothing like getting a charger for a product that doesn't exist. I hope the Pre reviews turn out good or this guy just might have end up selling this charger dock. Would it be any good for charging an electric toothbrush?

I don't know why, but there's something about the touchstone that is really cool...stupid really, my toothbrush has had inductive charging for years, and costs less than $50
I hate when I see this. It's a silly comparison. It's like saying cars are overpriced because bikes have wheels. It's like like inductive charging is a 50 cent chip they put in something to make it work.

Not only sold early, but with a "Price Override". Any Sprint Store employees here? If you buy something with an employee discount, would it show up as "Price Override"? Wondering if an employee bought it.

$50 is better than $70 but it is still ridiculous for a charger.
It's not a charger; it's a charging dock.
The charger is the one that comes with the Pre - each dock needs one. Palm sells extra chargers for $35 each.
At $50, it's still too much. Should be priced $25-30 max.
Yea, I'm going to be waiting outside my local best buy, actually not going to buy this. Too expensive for what it does.
We wish. They probably sell regular wall chargers for at least $20.
If any of you guys took the time to click "Read" you will see that the guy said judging on how things went, he was probably told the wrong price so many times that the manager told the guy who told him the wrong price to give him that discounted price...

That's still lower than sales tax in CA.
It's not all tat bad. In california they charge more than both of those combined and its only state tax i believe? Im not sure wat it is but my point is that our tax is higher than those to combined :|

SF city sales tax is 9.5% =\
and we have a state income tax that hits me for 8.5% each year. Ouch!

this touchstone is a completely stupid idea, what advantage has it got over regular charging adapters?
other than saving you the 0.3 seconds you need to plug a regular adapter into your phone.
and it doesn't look very travel friendly either
It's actually really convenient, half the time I throw my phone on my desk without even plugging it in. To the generally lazy at heart it's a perfect trade off (just not a 70 dollar trade off).
IMO, charging $70 for a charger is wayyyyyyyyyy overpriced.

Years ago I bought a Palm Tungstun E from Target about two weeks before launch day. I tried to register it and palm refused to admit it existed. Too bad I don't have the same luck with the Pre.

The charger needs its own power supply adapter. Without it, it's a complete waste of time. Who wants to spend more, literally only for the "cool" factor and not get an extra charger out of it? I like the product but even for $50 it needs to come with an adapter. I'll spend my $10 on an aftermarket charger and guess what? I'll have 2 chargers. Palm, Sprint, work this out.
so how does this thing work? is the charger supposed to spoon the PRE?
