Of course its gonna be the iPhone 3G$. Fallon is a total Apple fanboy.
Jimmy Fallon isn't really a nerd, he just pretends to be one on TV to get all the nerd ratings.
If you listen to him talk about tech it becomes pretty apparent he has no clue what he's talking about. Pretty lame.
His whole bit of having a computer at his desk and interacting with people over skype is a rip-off of the live streaming online show Tom Green stared a few years back. tomgreen.com
I swear if it's the fucking iPhone 3GS, I'm going to lose it. Like that thing needs any more publicity.
I'm hoping it's the ZuneHD, but I'm almost certain it'll be the iPhone 3G S, which is pretty lame, because everyone's already seen the iPhone a million times, and there's very little new to talk about.
Or maybe it'll be the... um... that other thing that everyone's talking about... the... yeah, it'll be the iPhone.

Jimmy needs to speak more clearly and not giggle so much. What do the ratings say?
His intense interview with Will Ferrell was a scream, and Slow Jammin' the News was brilliant. Other than that, it's a little uncomfortable to watch. I'll watch this on NBC.com tomorrow, mostly because Jimmy will make fun of Joshua right to his face for being such a geek, and Josh won't even get it. :-p
I haven't been in the states since he started. Is he still doing that "giggle and break the 4th wall" shit he pulled back in SNL?

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is probably the geekiest late night show ever. I don't see any other shows bringing geeks and/or gadgets, other than Oprah giving stuff away.
Not sure if it's a good thing or not though.
i agree. and, although Engadget is amazing and really popular to nerds/geeks/technophiles/etc, i can't say that's the case for a majority of TV viewers.
i'm sure a handful of people were excited seeing the Pre on there last time, but 95% of the viewers probably were like, "oh wow, some nerds showing a phone...next." no disrespect to JT, but the masses just don't care about the Pre. the iPhone, however, is a different story in that it is so popular and trendy. if he's going to talk about the 3GS, it looks the same as the 3G, and only dorks/religious iphone users will appreciate the actual upgrades (7.2Mbps, push notif, etc).

Likely that's because Conan is and has been a writer himself for years!
He wrote for SNL, and also a lot of the show on Late Night, and also is credited for writing some pretty classic Simpsons episodes back in the day (including the Monorail episode).
I honestly hope it's not the new iphone, is it really that exciting? I really hope you're not going to go from the one product that NOBODY has (the pre) to the one product that millions of people already have but without video recording and some other lame updates. Not to mention Josh will now be known as that 'phone guy' on jimmy fallon that brings in new phones.
I hope this isn't the case, but regardless i can't wait to see what happens.

Some say Palm was taking a risk by launching a phone 2 days before an Apple announcement.... but showing it on TV in March?
Jeez, what's your problem with the Palm being on Fallon in March? That's twice you mention it in the comments.
It certainly helped keep public attention on it (half way between its announcement and its release no less), and it's not like Palm ponied up hundreds of thousands to let Josh go on the show with it.
When you get free positive exposure on a newly launched show, it's FAR from a marketing FAIL.

It's because the OP said he didn't wanna see the iPhone on TV right now... because the iPhone is already over-promoted. He thinks that the Palm Pre should be covered more because not many people have heard about it.
Which is why I disagree with the Palm Pre having their big TV debut 3 months before it was even released.
If you see something on TV that you can run out and buy right now... you just might buy it. But if a hot new product is coming out in 3 months... with little detail on pricing and other specifics.... it's not an easy sell.
Since the Palm Pre is available at a store near you... it should be on Jimmy Fallon now.
