Sony's red and blue DualShock 3 controllers land in October, love this country

No White?
Sony offers a white DS3 in Japan. amazon imports and sells it in the US. amazon and gamestop also sell a silver DS3.
Microcenter sells the whites in stores. It has Japanese written all over it. But it for the PS3 and it white.
You must be mixing your eee sounds.
I know, too bad too because with white they would look French
Too bad none of those controllers match the console.
I think adding flames on them would make them look even more cool!
If it were just Red and White it would look Polish, Canadian, English, Japanese and Singaporean.

Fortunately, our flag uses red and blue too... though I'll take the blue since I'm Scottish...
although, I don't actually have a PS3.

Actually, the British flag used the red and blue before there was an American flag (coming from the St Andrews and St George crosses).
The British flag was even part of the first US flag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Union_Flag).
Unsurprising, I know. Still, funny considering Americans feel the red, white and blue colours together part of their national identity.
Australian here... with more of the same flag colours.
(Oh, and we totally ripped off the Brits' flag, 'cos were a bunch of convicts down here. And I don't have a PS3 either, so I'm not sure why I'm writing this comment :D)

it is part of the identity, regardless of whether or not we share the same colors. I honestly don't think any other country cares as much about the flag as we do.

Can't we all just agree that a whole butt-load of countries have red white and blue in their flags? Many of which were made before the American flag.
Now that I think about it, it's probably one of the least unique color combinations for a flag.
Mongolia will also be happy with representative colors.

Different colored controllers are cool, but I'd rather see a white or silver production PS3 hit the mainstream.

Sony... why concentrate on colors when you should be releasing a piece of good hardware? Vaio fail, PS3 fail, Walkman fail... why is this company able to exist?
Wait, the PS3 is a good system.. maybe a bit overpriced but it's not bad at all hardware wise.
Vaio laptops aren't any worse than other brand names like HP or Acer. Hell, they're all manufactured by the same ODMs.
Walkmans (I'm assuming you're referring to the mp3 players at this point) are quality players. Just check their ratings on reseller sites. They're just about the only MP3 player that come with some good in-ear buds.
Sony makes some good stuff overall. They're a little bit more expensive that some other brand names (yes, you pay for the brand) but their actual products are good.
Let's just hope the PS3 goes down in price and moves more units. That will really move the gears for the online experience (more people = better).

i find it funny how when a product is white , they want to change it to black ie the 360, when a product is black the mass ask for a different color. I just know none of these will match my entertainment area thus i will be sticking to the black....
