I thought I saw that on "Accidentally on purpose" on cbs Monday, but I had figured it was a prop. I guess it was not.
so this means...black people are allowed to play Wii? :)

Well black is just a cool color. That is usually offered in color selections. It took a while to come to Wii.
I think they were going to go with black for awhile. I bet you anything that they didn't want it to get confused with the PS2 and its color scheme though. Plus white had that casual person stigma to it because of the macbooks and iMacs.

Black is not a colour, it's the absence of colour.
@7egend, actually, using solid colors, like paint and dyes, black is all primary colors combined. In light, black is the absence of color.
The black one seems bigger for some reason...

Hooray!!!!!! An added included feature that the controller should have already had in the first place! "The Wiimote: For reals this time" or "Wiimote: Non-Snake Oil Version" should be the name of the new controllers.
I remember those reports and videos of Wiimotes flying around living rooms smashing TV and other objects.
I can't tell you how happy I am that that didn't happen to my TV! I was an early adopter. Don't own one anymore though.

The 3D MEMS gyros used by the Motion+ did not exist at the time the Wii was initially released.
Now I can recreate the awkward experience of having a white Xbox 360 with a black controller on my Wii! At least my wife knows which controller is 'mine' (The black controller with the white rechargeable battery pack on the back).

I think you all are misunderstanding the motion plus. I believe it is actually built into this controller, and is not being treated as a separate device.

Thanks Al, you're right. For some reason the hight seemed the same as a normal wii remote when I first looked at it.
I saw one on the show Accidentally on Purpose on Sunday.
Pretty sure that was a SplitFish FragFX for the Playstation 3.
If the WM+ is actually built into the controller and a separate piece connected to the accessory port, I'll be excited about this; Otherwise it's pretty ho-hum.
I don't care until they set free the Black Wii...

This is silly without the black Wii.
This is absolutely stupid without a black Wii. I used to have faith in Nintendo, they have no lost me. I kept telling myself the Wii would eventually get some good first person shooter games, as I love the controller for it, but no. I still have my Wii, but I just got a 360, I needs my MW2
They should have just literally built-in the "plus" accelerometer, to avoid having the extra plug-in extension. They could have just developed the firmware to always register has having the "plus" accessory already clipped in.
After having the plus & nunchuck both in, it feels like a frakenmote.
I work for Toys R Us and now the boxes of Wii's say White Wii System, when before it just said Wii system.
Same with the controller it says White controller and white nunchuck.
