WoW Moviewatch: Solitary Man

So, you say you like gnomes. Don't worry, Kamansus has gnomes for you.

So, you say you like Johnny Cash. Don't worry. Kamansus has got some Johnny Cash for you. (You say you don't like Johnny Cash? Dead to me. Dead.)

This video is the second completed machinima creation by Kamansus, who has apparently been struggling with actually putting the final touches on a piece. Nonetheless, his rendition of a music video for Cash's Solitary Man is just awesome. It tells the story of a weathered gnome pining over his romantic partner.

Of course, if you consider the history of the song Solitary Man, the video gets another interesting layer of depth. It's been pretty well established that Neil Diamond wrote the song to be about himself, and it's pretty likely Johnny Cash covered it while dealing with severe illness. It makes you think about the struggles this gnome must be having -- or maybe even Kamansus with his own work.

Ultimately, we don't get to see a lot of country or gnomes, so this video is a nice departure. It's even better that it's a pretty awesome departure.
