Choose My Adventure: A moment of silence

Choose the adventures of the WoW.com staff as we level our characters in <It came from the Blog> on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H).

Those of you who have listened to my Robinemia streams may remember a couple times when Thor joined us by meowing for attention and keeping my lap warm. He has now gone to the great kitty playland in the sky, where he can chase lizards and eat tuna forever. And now that I've completely bummed you out, here is the rest of this week's schedule:

  • Anne Stickney as Annephora, the level 41 troll warrior, will be on Friday at 1 a.m. EDT (which is Thursday at 11 p.m. Zangarmarsh time)

  • Fox Van Allen as Foxlight, the level 22 blood elf paladin: Friday, 8 p.m. EDT

  • Michael Sacco as Sahko, the orc warlock; Christian Belt, as Selfloathius, the level 15 blood elf warlock; Elizabeth Harper as Faience, the level 24 troll shaman; Matthew Rossi as Andrenorton, the level 17 troll mage; Michael Gray as Grayfields, the level 17 tauren hunter; and Gregg Reece as Sandwichdoc, the level 13 troll shaman, will be making appearances as they can.

Turn the page for some lighthearted stories from Sandwichdoc and Foxlight.

Gregg Reece as Sandwichdoc

First, I'd like to read from a prepared statement:

"Hello, I'm Sandwichdoc with the Society Helping Azerothian Mammals And Nature. We're here to ask for donations to help clean up the region known as The Barrens. Due to toxic polution by the Venture Company that has infected the area water table, many animals are being born with major birth defects like Zhevra with no hooves and Plainstriders with no beaks. For the cost of a cup of homemade Kungaloosh, you too can help the environment. This message brought to you by Chuck Norris and Mankrik's Wife Memorial Fund."

I hope the sentiments of that message touch each of you on a very personal level. I know I'm a bit touched.

In other news, I was having some issues with logistics. See, I had forgotten which area I was supposed to hit for levels 10-20. I in a quickly abbreviated session, I asked the members at large and someone responded with "Silverpine, I think." Well, they were half right. You guys voted for us to do 15-20 in Silverpine. However, I started there at 11. Oh, and I got roflstomped by a Son of Arugal. It wasn't pretty. By level 13, I'd finally talked to Robinella and she'd corrected my confusion. So, I took the Zepplin across the sea to Orgrimmar and made my way down to the Crossroads.

After mucking about with some of the lower level quests, I started reaching some of the more difficult ones that require to sneak into heavily guarded areas to collect mushrooms, supplies, harpy talons, and someone's snout. Luckily, I was accompanied on these harder quests by Croxyelement which made the killing go much faster. At the end of my session, I had hit level 15 and will soon be making my way back over to Silverpine forest for undead, worgen, and poor forest critters whose hearts are used in all sorts of magical concoctions.

Thanks to Croxy for the leveling help, Bluumagic for the new shirt, and everyone else on the guild line for the comedic relief.

Fox Van Allen as Foxlight

Dear Diary,

Been a while since I checked in last, but I've been busy. So many mirrors, so little time.

I had been spending most of my time in the Barrens and Orgrimmar. After a few weeks there, I'd networked with the players in the blood elf community. News of the arrival of a shirtless paladin travels quick, though, and it wasn't long before I was yesterday's news in the scene.

I know what you're saying, right? "You, Foxlight? Yesterday's news?! As if, honey!"

Whatevs. You and I both know they're just jealous. Threatened by my sweat-slicked pecs and meticulously sculpted abdominals. I don't need them. I'm too good for them.

But that's not even news. You know what is? The gossip mags in Orgrimmar are all about this barely legal worgen named Jacob Lautner. We're talkin' ten-page spread about him in the July issue of Zhevra Beat. The press is all about him being a half human but you cannot look at those pictures and tell me that he isn't half blood elf.

I admit, he's sorta decent so far as wolf boys go. But when those belfs back in Orgrimmar start saying his chest is better than mine -- ohhhh no, I'm not having that.

(P.S.: Rumor has it he's on R.O.I.D.S. But you didn't hear that from me.)

Since the Barrens scene is all played out anyway, I packed up my collection of Keelen Sheets originals, bought another weeks' worth of product, and caught the first zeppelin I could to Silverpine. I'm not gonna let those magazines keep talking about that piece of hamburger when I got a prime T-bone right here.

I was made for the west coast. And that's where I've been. I tried to find an apartment in the Sepulcher, but my rental agent Allister didn't have anything available aside from a few "studio" compartments. Pricey too -- forty gold a month only buys 30 cubic feet of drawer space out here.

You know me, though, I did not come out to the west coast looking to stay home all night. I'm here to network. Get a career in the industry. Just as soon as Azeroth gets a movie industry, that is.

So far, so good. I've been hanging out at the clubs, and these west coasters are all over me. Not hard to tell why. Never mind being one of the only people around here with abs you could wash clothing on, but I'm one of the only people around here who has skin. Foxlight: one. Sepulcher competition: zero.

Still, don't think I don't hear people talking about that Jacob around here. Rumor has it he gets invited to all the best "blood elf only" parties up in the Hills. Well, let it be known that your belf boy Foxlight is gonna crash the party this Friday up at Shadowfang Keep. I sure as heck aren't going to be playing second string to some puppy dog boy who needs his abs airbrushed for modeling shoots.

This town is only big enough for one ripped blood elf. And you know that Foxlight always winds up on top.

Yours,

Foxlight the Tanned
