Motorola Zeppelin spotted hopping train to Barcelona?
First, a disclaimer: we've heard the "Zeppelin" name before, both from Motorola and from Palm before that -- we have no idea why it keeps coming up, particularly given the obvious references to epic disasters. That said, mobil.cz is reporting that this rather shapely device is an all-new Motorola smartphone bearing Android and the Zeppelin name that's scheduled for unveiling at MWC in Barcelona next month. It's said to have touch-sensitive buttons below the display, a 5 megapixel cam, 3.2-inch HVGA display, GPS, and Blur, presumably (well, hopefully) based on Android 2.0 or 2.1. In other words, it won't be the highest-end phone on the block, but it won't be the lowest, either -- and it could very well be the most stylish. If this is legit, we shouldn't have too long before we find out.

This phone looks like a bigger fail than the hiddenburg
@Fantastadon would not be surprised to see one with a burning lipo battery. oh the humanity! Apple Apple is so great! ill pay anything for the iSlate! goooooo Apple!
Eww. What an ugly device. Not that I would trade my nexus for anything, or ever buy a non HTC phone...
Is anybody reading anything else other than the Apple sideshow spectacular!?
Oops - what am I doing here!?
Oh mein Gott der Zeppelin!
@Teslanaut
DAS Zeppelin. DAS! Mein Gott...
@Teslanaut
...Sauerkraut?
I hope you're talking about the band.
It looks like it may have a slide out QWERTY. Could actually be the first portrait QWERTY at that. I don't own an Android phone, but I really appreciate the direction HelloMoto is taking by throwing out all these different form factors. It does make me wonder how they can throw out 12 phones this year though, and companies like LG and Samsung are so slow to the market.
it's like moto and nokia has a white baby.
yeppaaa!!
I think I might just zeppel away from that phone...
fugly
@FAP FAP FAP wow! how much of a shut in are you? i guess there IS a market for Mc. Donalds delivery service ......nub
Motorola Zeppelin and Disaster on the same sentence?
Boy they started this one with the wrong foot...
How are they going to 'nickname' it?
MOTOZep? MOTOlin?
It has a retro look to it, its not "sexy" its more "funky" i kind of like it..
And with a name like Zeppelin... it would be cool if it had special functions named after songs, or Zepplin themes :-), judas priest and black sabbath editions to follow :-)
@FAP FAP FAP Led
it looks like a white nokia n86 got beaten with an ugly stick.
Another disappointment from Motorola. To much wasted area around the screen. The buttons are to big and to many on the top. Try having a smaller radius on the corners (including the screen).Try making the Motorola Logo as a button. Cleanup the wasted space. Look at the Nexus One.
looks like motorola hardware got in bed with 2nd generation zunes.
@jayy337
THE RETURN OF THE SQUIRCLE!
wow, I hate whoever made it okay for phones to have a touchscreen & no physical keyboard. Especially because 99% of the virtual keyboards out there are terrible. Slap a physical qwerty and android or web OS on this baby and I'm in, otherwise, count me out.
for real.
@milkman This handset won't blow your mind away with its design and the same can be said for its specifications, featuring a 3.2" display at 320 × 480 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as a trackpad. NOt that great a phone, Details: http://bit.ly/motorola-zeppelin-details
