Level 10 gaming chassis gains Asetek liquid cooling solution
We're guessing that most Level 10 owners spend more time dusting off their chassis than actually using it for "computing purposes," but those that have been pinching their pennies in order to snag one now have yet another reason to do so. Asetek, which knows a thing or two about system cooling, has teamed up with iBuyPower in order to deliver the first and only liquid cooling option for what's quite possibly the planet's most astounding PC enclosure. The pain? Not a dime, as the option is now standard equipment on systems that include the case. Huzzah!

It's just a case.
@tyjb9x
yea, and your house is just someplace you live.
you disgust me.
@BrianH
"your house is just someplace you live."
gj
@tyjb9x
my god....
how do you live with yourself.
@tyjb9x
I wish my case looked like that.. Its so organized. Where do all the wires go?
Its like a clean room!
@tyjb9x You don't say that in a geek website. Its harmful to your health.
Holy cow. It may look weird, but I really love the design! You don't need to copy that other company to be as just as successful in the aesthetics department.
Spending close $900 for this case and then more for the cooling is a tad bit too much for a case that is base merely on looks.
@JClay tell that to the Apple Fanboys. lol.
@JClay
...uh.
"The pain? Not a dime, as the option is now standard equipment on systems that include the case."
:|
@JClay Amen, function over form, and with this case most components won't work as the cables aren't long enough.
I find beauty in efficiency of design.
KISS
@JClay Alternatively, you could just buy the cooling system on its own. Corsair sell it as the H50-1.
That water cooling system looks an awful lot like the Corsair Water Cooling thingy...
@SomethingInMyFrontPocket
Corsair H50 was developed by Asetek and Corsair just re-branded it. See SL2's post below for more info.
"The pain? Not a dime......". ---- I can't afford "the dime" to buy this case yet.
What's up with the paltry 3 ram slots? If I am paying so much money for such a behemoth I demand a mandatory 6 ram slots.
@Eternity look closer. it does have 6 slots. but only 3 sticks are installed.
@kojo87 OK now I see it. Must be some kind of optical illusion :P
@Eternity
you can't see...?!?!?
@Antiapple Apparently I am going through a mild case of vision fail. Must be all this time spent in the dark staring at this 24" highly back lit iMac display reading tech blog articles.
if you're dropping almost a grand on the case why wouldn't you want water cooling? go big or go home!
@kojo87
Technically it is water cooled.
@kojo87
Its a closed loop water cooling system. Not as effective as a full blown watercooling system but sweet Moses its a lot less hassle!
It is the same as the Corsair H50, made by Asetek.

Northq is another brand, they even have a dual fan model.

Doesn't this case have disappointing cooling performance? I guess it makes sense that you'd want liquid cooling with it.
@BrianH
bro, we tite right?
@tyjb9x
ya brah, we kewl....
god, i'm sorry engadget, ill never post like that again... i'm gonna go take a shower.
@tyjb9x
that was kind of lame to delete my post, when it was obviously meant to be humorous.
@BrianH
fml... what the hell is wrong with this commenting system.
vote down please, hide my shame
EHH its no mountain mods.
The only way, I'll spend 1000 on just ONE thing, its if it will get me laid.
@versionII
well, if this won't do it, nothing will
@versionII
"The only way, I'll spend 1000 on just ONE thing, its if it will get me laid."
This and a geek chick (or two) should do it.
Wow this thing looks amazing, something you would see in a movie!
Anyone else think this new trend of individually sleeved wires is just stupid? ( Notice motherboard power cable )
It makes the cables 10 times more expensive and even more prone to breaking since all the stress could be put on one cable instead of all 24 of the wires as a unit. IMO it just looks less clean and while it may be more flexible it would be harder to manage in the long rung.
Then again, people who buy the Level 10 probably don't care or think about it.
@mdm2010
What stress is on the cables?
@mdm2010
If you look at it as 'stupid' then just about everything else in the PC mod business is. Look at it this way: a new or different look simply makes the rig more bad-ass or menacing - not necessarily more functional. Sometimes its just about the look, and this is one of those times.
@F C
I'm a modder myself and I agree with everything you said, I just think that these wires make it less bad-ass and less menacing and obviously less function so there is no positive effect. Maybe it would be cool if he used different sleeving color on certain wires which would introduce something unique or stylish, like there was some actual reason and thought into the mod other than just to say, i spent 3 hours resleeving my cable. Anyways, this is one of those subjective things so whatever, mod how you like.
AWESOME O_O!!!
God, the case that i dream of owning just got better... why!
I'm saying this as loving PC gaming. I just wonder how all these gaming cases and such keep coming out, especially with the unfortunate talk of PC gaming "dying" and consoles getting more and more successful.
You'd think with all these lavish botique companies and PC gaming accessories and all this coming out, PC gaming would be doing better relatively compared to the consoles....but we just hear of PCs losing exclusives, losing games altogether because of piracy, etc.
@RKN gotta agree somewhat ... PC gaming isnt dying though....never has...gotta remember even though consoles have took the flight to online gaming it still is far bigger on a global scale on PC's....with the subsequent games for windows branding and more games featuring online content only accesable to genuine copies of games...what pirating does though is keep games prices down...I don't mind paying £25 for a game even if completed within a few weeks....but I'd be damned paying £50 with no additional content....and no chance of additional mods....just think of what the worlds largest online game is...then realise its PC (and laughably Mac) only....
@Jaster It kinda hurts to see all these expensive DX11 cards coming out that rape the shit out of the peasant consoles but then Alan Wake and other games not coming to PC, only consoles. : (
I love the case but all that troubles me is the dust. I prefer cases which are almost dust proof....something like P180..
How would you deal with dust on this case??
@samirotiv
I would clean it everyday with a nice soft cloth with love!
4th picture is extreamly beatyfull. Very nice and clean.
I saw this case at the local Microcenter. It feels very cheap and the fit/finish is really bad. Panels don't exactly line up and are kinda loose. Definitely not what I expect from a $900 case.
