Why still design NEW notebooks based on C2D?
i-series CPU should be the future.
@mianmian
Because most people don't know enough about technology to care what processor it has. There are plenty that love technology - But there are far more that just want a laptop to check email and watch movies on.
@mianmian
No kidding, since you can get twice the performance for the same price as a i3-430m notebook.
@mianmian Apart from the post, The notebook also has a built-in DVD burner and a 6-cell battery. The LCD is LED backlit and has a HD resolution of 1366 x 768. The machine runs Windows 7 Home Premium and weighs 4.98 pounds. More: http://bit.ly/samsung-r430-r530-updates
This doesn't grab my attention in any way.
seriously sammy - ditch the "red", or at least offer some alternative (touch of blue? silver? no touch of color?) as it was the reason for my not purchasing your lcd (despite my definite liking of the specs) and the same reason i'll take a pass now on this notebook...
Why is it most laptops still have 320 GB HDs? It's always "hard' to find 500 GB in stores. The PC Buying experience is awful. I'm in the market for a new iCore machine with 500 GB HD, I went to Best Buy their display was cluttered, some machines were turned on, but locked, others had boot error messages, some had the battery removed. They were almost all kind of dirty and dusty looking and this was every Best Buy. Other stores like Target, BJs, etc. don't even bother to turn them on! MS really need to get their stores off the ground quick!
The only way to really buy a machine is go to a place like Amazon and hope you get a decent one. Or go to the badly designed hardware maker websites and custom spec something, then wait another 2 to 5 weeks to get your machine. A Dell I customized two years ago took almost two months to arrive. Not only that but it was expensive ($1,700) and it's one of the worst computers I've ever owned.
By comparison I bought my Mac last year by walking into an Apple Store a few times and spending time actually touching and feeling it. Really pleasant experience - other than I hate the mac "geniuses" and I generally don't like Macs - I bought one to develop Mac apps and Video, but my love is Windows Machines, I'm just more productive.
@malexandria1 Sorry for the off topic post, but I had to vent.

Because you can surely find a macbook pro under 2 grand in an apple store with a 500GB hard drive right? Not to mention that customizing it on apple for 500GB is going to cost you several hundred dollars more than if you swapped it yourself.

So you went into the Best Buy store and didn't spend time touching and feeling the laptops? Just looked at how dusty and ugly they were?
I'm no apple hater - i was quite close to buying a macbook pro actually - but your arguments just dont' really make any sense.
