@yulebellow if i could, i would tell everyone not to reply to eachother after this comment right here. it would be amazing if no one replied to eachother. like old times :)
@leemahi I don't know that it's conceivable for a website to have an individual way to a choice on how to render comments based on this preference criteria, but if so, it makes more sense:
A) Have threads, as see here B) Have it all based on chronology
I prefer threads, if something starts off with a dumb topic, I can skim/skip a whole bunch of nonsense or jargon that might be too technical, or what-have-you. If it's interesting, I am clued in to read for comprehension and trace back the reply to the original point.
It's when people reply with things that are off topic like your post that I don't like threads. Though, now I'm also in this thread, off topic.
@yulebellow You know it's funny how Steve Jobs tries his Jedi mind trick on its Fanboys and tries to tell them that they do not need Muti-tasking only to release a Iphone that has MULTITASKING? Way to go Apple you just suck!
@yulebellow Probably little to none. Refraction is a much bigger problem in a silica glass-air interface, and is by definition zero for head-on incident light. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snell's_law
I still question whether this would yield a usable image; output probably depends heavily on the LCD panel's black levels (the relative difference between the light and dark areas on screen) and the calibration of the scanner.
Following closely on the heels of Gigabyte's announcement that their motherboards can charge the iPad, HP certifies that all of their all-in-one printers are "compatible" with the iPad. ;-)
I don't print out airplane tickets anymore, they send the PDF and you just swipe the iPhone over the scanner. Works perfectly.
Apparently it has something to do with if a unit is using optical or laser scanning. The scanner (otherwise known as a copier) in the pic would use optical.
I should think it would make a copy far better than from paper.
@ZuTrA Irony or subliminal messages sent by Engadget to recommend the Slate without losing the Apple cashflow? I kid, but seriously, I have a feeling there will be quite a few people in the return line at the Apple stores. Hopefully enough so there will be "refurbs" for a nice percentage off sometime before the next gen comes out.
@engadgetcomexcludeengadget I am unfortunate enough to be working with the big blue, and you might as well just try to get open boxed item from them and save yourself 10%
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
Reflection off the screen much?
@yulebellow
Just magical!
@yulebellow
Thanks Steve Jobs for giving us this magical fix. Oh, wait!

A magical and revolutionary solution at an unbelievable "price"
@yulebellow naa copiers...err these type of printers are generally made to deal with reflective surfaces.
Looks like I will have to get me a HP 3380, or does anyone know of any other similar and compatible printers?
@yulebellow
You forget that the entire surface of the scanner bed is made of glass. It should work in theory.
@yulebellow I think taking a picture with flash off would be a better idea for that exact reason.
Looks like you had some of the brownies Chris ( http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/14/magnificent-wormhole-to-2009-spontaneously-opens-in-sony-style-s/ ) and Josh ( http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/14/hello-from-eboy/ ) were having earlier.
Jobs: It just works (in this way).

LOL I'd like to see the print-out! Would be funny if it looked good.
@juanvaldez "I think taking a picture with flash off would be a better idea"
Because it doesn't support flash.
@m4192
Not true. Depending on the model it comes with 16, 32 or 64GB of flash
@dzeikei
Not that kind of flash.

@Engadget Inc. and readers
Wait, if you have a Wi-Fi printer, can't you...
right, oh wait, can't install drivers onto iPad... or can you?
I'm anti-Apple... I will be fully as soon as my iPod video craps out... it's been 3 years already.
@shadowj0
hmm i cant say i wasnt wondering the same thing. that would be interesting if you were unable to even print to a wifi printer.
@yulebellow
Apple said it's not a reflection... it's their impossible-to-break eBook DRM!
Following closely on the heels of Gigabyte's announcement that their motherboards can charge the iPad, HP certifies that all of their all-in-one printers are "compatible" with the iPad. ;-)
@yulebellow That's one huge dongle! How much does it run you think?
@borland502 I know this may be a tad immature, but I still chuckled a bit when I read "huge dongle".
@m4192
Didn't anyone get your joke about the flash? I was cracking up. Goodnight!
@Toshiba When did he say anything about not needing multi-tasking? Why does it matter if he did? Are you surprised that Steve Jobs is human?
Hahahaaa. Made my day.
I instinctively tried to "like" it like a Facebook post.
Pure win.
@Atkins
It's not often that I laugh out loud at something I see on the internet, but.. this was just priceless.
@Atkins
Pure gold, this one.
@Atkins You wrote the exact words that I was thinking! :D
@Atkins
Hahahah I lol'd on that one. People in the office looked at me weird.
Thanks!
Why not push the print screen button? Oh wait...
@bighap you can take screenshots by pressing the home and power buttons at the same time. well, at least on iphones.
@sarixe
pwned
@sarixe
.......And then email it to a computer and print it.
@bighap If you see a print button, they blew it.
@klinbest
LOL! you beat me to it
@bighap Wait for what?
@bighap actually, there's an App for that--well at least for the iPhone and iPod Touch, so probably works on iPad too: http://www.hp.com/global/us/en/consumer/digital_photography/free/software/iprint-photo.html so all you have to do is make your screen shot and then use the iprint to print it using any Wifi capable HP printer...
@klinbest
haha at least we have a new Jobs meme. "bag of hurt" was getting old.
Oh shi-
I'd assume that this wouldn't work as well as one might think.
@williamtsims
you'd be quite surprised then.

Hahahahahahaha!!!! Funny!!!
@creepytech
