Zune ftw!
@Liselotte
the UI got to me !! i'm getting this for sure !
@Liselotte
Those backplates really look nice... customizable I believe. Very nice. A unique thing that makes it better than an iPod touch in at least one way!
@who said what
Only 1 way?
I think there are at least several that make it better. But it is definatelly a Lot more attractive than any "i" product.

God damn!
This comment system MUST be changed!
Zune.....zzz....zzz...zzz
@Liselotte
dude, it's awesome and now that the zune firmware is hacked it's gonna rock!check zuneboards for the hack, no more xna limitations!
@Liselotte
The Zune is even more awesome now that it has been hacked!!! It's true.

@Liselotte I've found everything with the Zune software to be much easier and more suited to my preferences. Syncing is way easier and moving my music and movies is easier as well. Plus having all the music on the Zune network at my immediate disposal to browse, download or purchase (if I am feeling generous) is an amazing bonus. It's basically like renting an entire record store.
Opinions. http://bit.ly/zunehd-64-series
@aimran you know you've made it when your system is being attacked by hackers. isnt that why windows was more targetted than an apple OS in the past?
@Liselotte
I can only say I agree. FTW!
Might replace my iPod touch soon...
@albinomexi I've considered doing the same, but I feel like I'd miss a bunch of little things I've gotten used to with the iPod. I do like the Zune UI over iPhone OS though.
@albinomexi
Dear Consumer,
Your recent comment on purchasing a Microsoft product to replace one of our "Magical" iProducts has been noted. Your IP address was recorded and compared to our purchasing records and your address verified. We will be sending a "Purchasing Counselor" to speak with you about your decision and "persuade" you to rethink this grievous error.
Thank You For Your Time,

@nichts I've honestly thought about switching to iPod Touch FROM Zune HD, and I feel the same way lol. I can't live without little things the Zune offers and iPod doesn't. Such as quickplay
@albinomexi Zune isn't as fun as ipod touch. There aren't many apps & games to download. I have a 32GB and it's just what I expected. It's good as music player and hd radio.
@nichts I'm also thinking about swapping iPod for Zune HD. and I've recently downloaded the Zune software, because that's the biggest difference between the two devices in terms of specifications. Well, after two weeks testing the software, I can say I would be happy to buy a Zune HD instead of an iPod if it would come to Europe.
The software is very simple to use, it's all about music (and pictures and videos) . no nonsense. And it automatically finds all the music on your computer. Though I will still be using iTunes as my primary programm.
Wake me when they make a 128GB version so I can replace my 120.
@n8equalsd i will wake you in september
@n8equalsd That's what I am waiting for. Hell I'll even take a 96GB one.
@appleipad
but i'll be gone till november.
That would make a fine looking phone.
@Motlee I know. I hope that ASUS' final release phone takes some pointers from this device.
I lovd my zune 30 its a shame their marketing sucked and they were always playing catchup to apple. The hd is a fantastic product and if i had the cash sitting around I would be upgrading for sure.
@Robhimself I feel the same, I got my 30 on Woot and it worked well but I managed to wear out the headphone jack. If I can't find a replacement one to solder on I'll have an excu... I mean a good reason to buy the HD 64. Hopefully the prices will drop by the summer.
As much as I need to replace my Zune 80 and would love to get the ZuneHD. But I can't with the Windows Phone 7 coming,
@mailbox01
i already own a 16gb, but I'm certainly looking forward to the windows phone 7 launch (as soon as I can upgrade my phone)
I'm a happy owner of a Zune 120 right now (I'm actually listening to Ludacris on it right now while I type this, lol), but this is surely interesting. I don't think a 128GB model is gonna be here for another couple years, and even then it'll be extremely expensive.
Currently my ever growing music library far exceeds 8GB and 16GB, and 32GB is really pushing it in the long term. I might be able to compromise with 64GB though, if only for that redesigned UI and beautiful touch screen. Though I'd probably wait for the 2nd gen Zune HD, just because I know something better is coming this Fall.
I never understood how people NEED to have 120GB of music on a device at all times.
I understand needing space for video and the hundreds of thousands of apps the Zune Marketplace has, but do people really have 120GB of music they are constantly shuffling?
I love my 16GB, and I'm an avid music "collector" but I have no where near 16GB of music I'd want on a device to listen to. I get bored of songs, deleted or unsync, why keep it around if you no longer need it?
@AttractiveDoorHinge - why bother with re-syncing if you can just have everything on it at the same time?
And even more puzzling: why do you understand people that carry hundreds of videos with them at all times, but not people that have a lot of music? Video are mostly one-view things anyway...
@AttractiveDoorHinge
For me, I like having my whole media collection on the go as well as not having to compromise with having to choose what to take with me.
@NewL I don't resync music I don't want anymore. How much music can you "currently be interested in"? Every month I have 100-200 songs I cycle based on my moods, I don't want to listen to something I overplayed and am sick of.
Also, do you know how much a video takes up in space? I just synced a soccer game that was 1.9GB. It's kinda hard to find1.9GB of music that you like in the same amount of time it takes to find one video to sync and watch. Videos take up more space so it's understandable to have a huge capacity device to sync whole seasons of shows and whatnot.
Sorry, just baffles me that people keep in interest in 120GB of music at all times. Seems like you just want to have it there and not really listen to the older stuff. Music hoarders!
@n8equalsd Oh well, guess everyone organizes things differently.
When I get bored of an Xbox game I usually sell it and buy new ones. I don't keep stuff around for the sake of having it around and never using it again, unless I really like it. Then I keep it.
@AttractiveDoorHinge
Lossless takes up a lot of space.
Makes my puny 8gb zune sir in the corner and cry.....
@stoney1973 funny, I address my Zune as ma'am
@crapNstuff
sit**
Beautiful device.
Would look perfect next to my HD2.
Makes my puny 8gb zune crawl into the corner to balls eyes out in shame....
'Phone' is the only thing this beauty is missing. Together they rock and if not they suck! Who wants a dedicated music player in this era of cloud based music access?
@Engadgeteeer
in the era of cloud based music service zune has the best, so that would be why you want a dedicated music player.
@Engadgeteeer with the amount of music I listen to on a daily basis that battery would have to be ridiculously amazing to stay on as a music player and a phone. A dedicated device ensures I'll still have juice to make a phone call.
Kinda off topic. But I'm thinking of signing up for zune pass. Can I play the zune pass on my iPhone? Or any player for that matter, since I'm dropping my 3gs for an EVO comes the summer. An the 10 songs you get to keep, are they drm free? Thanks.
@topollillo
Yes. The 10 songs you get to keep are downloaded in MP3 so you can take them anywhere. I do the same with my DROID actually.
@topollillo
No, you can only use zune pass on the zune. The 10 songs are picked by you, and the store is a mix of protected wma and drm free mp3. if you're carefull to choose only mp3, they'll play on anything.
@topollillo
Don't think so. The zune pass music is drm'd except for the 10 tracks you get at the end of each month.
This Zune phone looks hot... oh wait
I'll buy one when they decide to make a Mac Zune client
@jeff181995
I'm currently out off an iPod touch(came with the mac...) and would sacrifice all of my apps and itunes locked music for a Zune HD.
Seriously, what is Microsoft thinking?
