iPhone KIRFs up to 4.3-inch screen, claims invincibility from haters
Hey, just because Apple won't make one doesn't mean you can't have a 4.3-inch iPhone. This here product of Chinese ingenuity offers you as much real estate as "the king of HTC HD2" while also throwing both digital and analog TV tuners into the mix. When you factor in the dual SIM compatibility, 2 megapixel camera, WiFi, and a removable back cover, it's enough for anyone to agree that "even a popular niche iPhone 4G had to step aside!"

I hate KIRFs
@ZeCoder
I want them to bring the size down slightly to around "the king of the droid incredible."
@ZeCoder
If you live in China,,,,oh,,,,,,,hard to imagine what ur feeling will be
@ZeCoder
Why are you guys hating? I already have mine preordered!
@ZeCoder did anyone else notice the tiny iPhone to the left of that thing that says MINI,i lol'd
@ZeCoder Our resident Pixel Density Enthusiast won't like the big screen. Paul Miller if you folk don't know who our PDE is.
Invincibility from haters? That's some new technology right there..
@ZeCoder
Why? Does it look like Samsung Galaxy S?
@ZeCoder iLove Kirfs (lol)
@ZeCoder
Me too..4.3 inch screen with a 2.5 inch bezel...
@gargle
Wow. Even crappier than the original. That thing is just plain ugly.
Still only 4 by 4 icons with dock, what resolution is this!?
@Edmunn
Like the ipad?
@oh ok
Or the new iphone 4 =)
@ oh ok
Ipad is 5 * 4 with 6 icons in the dock.
Noob
Garbage. Literally.
@FaceOfGenius
u guys in the west earn 2000 or more US dollars a month,,,that's one year's income of most Chinese,,,,when I see a EVO or iPhone,,,I say to myself,,,,I must got one,,,but in fact,,,I need two months hardworking to get one......u know guys,,,u Blow Jobs (Peters talkshow) just need a week salary to get one! so,,,,,u should finaly understand that.
@mirrorself
So if an iPhone is too expensive to buy, just get a different phone and not a stupid knock-off like this. It's not the way the iPhone looks that makes it so popular, but the way it works. A KIRF like this does not have that advantage, it's just a mediocre phone in an iPhone-like case. You can probably get a much better phone for less money, that doesn't pretend to be an iPhone.
@drange Or, he can do what he wants with his own money and buy the knock-off.
@FaceOfGenius like iPhone
hello, hospital? i think i've shrunk
no.. no... yeah... well, my phone seems a lot bigger now...
I would take a mypad over this KIRF at least it does'nt copy any other phone and has 5" screen but now just waiting on dell streak to hit state side
I don’t get why anyone would want a fake phone.
You don’t get a warranty, you don’t get proper support for software and you get terrible features.
I thought the Chinese were smarter than this.
@moondy
it is called the "Low-price appeal"
@ZeCoder
Also known as the "Wii factor".
I kid, I kid. I love my Wii. Though I am chiip also.
@moondy
They seem to think so...too bad they can't actually use those 'smarts' to actually make something useful.
@moondy
If you visit some parts of Asia (Malaysia & Thailand), you'll find most people don't care about quality polished products like we do in the West. They want electronics that are cheap, look good and have enough features to do the job.
@moondy
Average Chinese income in 2008 was approximately $6600 U.S. (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ch.html) so a cheap knockoff phone in China is extremely popular since a lot more people can actually afford. Paying rent & food costs is a lot more important to the Chinese consumer then tech & software support.
@CBingo
Fools! Don't they realise you can't update your facebook status with a bag of rice. What's the point in eating well if you can't post about it.
As for shelter, you only needed that to get a landline for broadband, with 3G data a house is of little importance.
@Cy Starkman I think they are fully aware of them, what you should be aware of is that Facebook or Twitter can't be accessed in China. The internet there is a closed system. That explains why most if the Android phones are not available in China
@Cy Starkman
To be fair, that phone is large enough that you could shelter underneath it and kill two birds with one stone.
I really can't see the attraction of a bigger phone... I want smaller and skinier...
@dxdragon That's what I *wish* she said.
@dxdragon
ya I don't get this whole large phone craze. Like that new Dell phone that's coming out, looks rediculous up to a persons head. I guess if you travel alot or use a Bluetooth earpiece I could understand wanting one. I just need a phone that will slide easily in and out of my pocket, and I don't have to shift my pants when I walk up stairs. I see the use in tablets, but I'm not falling for the e-peen wars that is large phones. Next month we'll have netbooks up to peoples ears, and that will be the "cool" phone, lol!
(flame shields on, all defense energy to engaget posters!!!)
Kill it with fire!!!
Fits right into the palm of your gigantic mutant man hands.
Is like to introduce you to brick with a screen phone
Damn that's ugly.
Niche iPhone, huh? Let's see if this thing sells even 6000 in it's entire product run vs 600000 in one day. Pretty huge niche.
@DTJ With an argument like that, it seems the only niche you fit in is the one between my couch cushions.
Ugly...
Enlarged iPhone or shrunken iPad?
Fail
I would so own this of I lived in China.
Keep the KIRFs coming!
If apple had made an iPhone 4 with atleast a 4 inch screen, I wouldn't have switched to the Evo. I guess my hands are just to big.
Check it out...it's the new iPhone Jitterbug model.
That weird, I like the size of the phone now. Even with my supersize hands LOL
i wonder how many would this same phone have been sold if steve had presented this phone with an apple on it? esp. in US.. :))
@multumescmult Steve would have called it the iPhone Pro, and bloggers would have been queuing up around the block to buy one.
