WRUP: Regional cooling

We seek cooling beverages to pass these hot summer days. Of course, turning on the air conditioning would help, but blasting the AC leads to a $300 electric bill at the end of the month. We'd prefer using that money on the incoming onslaught of Q4 games. Anyway, drinks: Iced tea is quite American, frappés are Greek, what are other regional non-alcoholic refreshments to try? Recipes appreciated.

• Chris Buffa (@ChrisBuffa): Still trying to play Singularity. This weekend won't have a ton of game time. Maybe I'll check out something on iPhone while at a BBQ. I really need an all gaming weekend.

• Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): Will be wrapping up Darksiders soon, so have to decide which game I should pluck from the backlog. Halo 3: ODST is awfully near the top of the pile, but I too suspect Batman: Arkham Asylum may win out in the end.

• David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): Since it'll be my last weekend on the east coast, I'll be spending most of my time saying goodbye to folks and likely won't have much time to game. If I do get down on some gaming, I'll likely head for Pandora -- I'm only a few levels away from maxing out my Siren in Borderlands.

• Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): Making the phattest beats on KORG 10 DS+, endlessly grinding on Dragon Quest IX, hopefully polishing off Red Dead Redemption.

• JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): I'm farming Liquid Metal Slimes in Dragon Quest IX. It feels kind of like cheating, but it also feels a lot like gaining several levels a day.

• Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): [Playing something new, as always.]

• Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): The stack of incomplete games on my desk says I should play Red Dead Redemption and Super Mario Galaxy 2. But my heart says it's time for another round of Batman: Arkham Asylum.

• Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): Fat Princess and Mass Effect 2. Also getting my PC fixed -- what does "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area" mean?

• Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) Kind of can't stop playing FASTAR! on my iPhone. (Well, I can, but only to play the absolutely fantastic Dark Nebula Episode 2.)

• Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM) Demon's Souls has tortured its way into my heart. Beyond that it's StarCraft 1, finishing Alan Wake on Nightmare and hopefully dipping into the DLC.
