World of Warcraft: Cataclysm to launch December 7th
The news that the World of Warcraft community has been waiting for is finally here: Blizzard announced the launch date for Cataclysm this morning.
The expansion will release on December 7th, and Blizzard CEO and Founder Mike Morhaime is confident that it will appeal to old and new players alike: " Cataclysm includes the best content we've ever created for World of Warcraft. It's not just an expansion but a re-creation of much of the original Azeroth, complete with epic new high-level adventures for current players and a redesigned leveling experience for those just starting out."
The expansion will be available in retail stores or via digital download in the WoW store. For fans who love the extras that come with a boxed collector's edition, those will be available exclusively in stores. Be sure to read the full press release, available at our sister site, WoW Insider.
