The Queue: Old Gods? In my dig site?

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

It's another Monday morning, which means it's time for another short edition of The Queue. Weekend recovery is always rough, because there's something about Sunday that drives the inquisitiveness out of all of you. I dread Super Bowl Sunday.

Doge asked:

Whenever I find a keystone in archaeology, I hear a certain many-toothed abomination say something. No text or anything, just the sound. Any idea why? It's quite disconcerting. Are my pursuits in archaeology making me fall under the sway of the Old Gods? Or is it just a bug?

As many readers said, that would be Deadly Boss Mods playing a trick on you. If you don't have DBM installed, then other mods have joined in on the fun.

fireplugly asked:

Is there a quest or a NPC that points the way to Tol Barad? I haven't seen anything like that, and it seems weird if I am expected to just wander over there without any in-game guidance.

Much like Wintergrasp, there isn't anything directing you toward the zone. If you use the Cataclysm portals at all, though, you'll discover it quite easily/naturally. The portal there is right with the others. No, nobody clearly tells you to go there, but it isn't hidden, either.

UnderwoodLynch asked:

I killed a quest mob in Mulgore on my gnome and Baine turned up, thanked me, and invited me back to his place. What do I bring?

As I don't believe I'm allowed to discuss the finer points of cannabis usage in the medieval era on this here blog, I recommend a Goblin Barbecue. Everybody loves a barbecue. Oh, and invest in resilience gear. As much resilience gear as you can find. Trust me.

Orkchop asked:

How come the WoW Insider show rarely has special guests? Do none of the other bloggers want to chat with Mike, Matt and Mat?

The dark secret behind the lack of special guests is the fact that Mike Sacco has breath so terrible you can smell it through voice chat, and only Matt and Mat are willing to expose themselves to it for extended lengths of time.

The story they like to tell people, however, is that since the podcast is recorded early in the day on a weekday, that eliminates most of the staff's ability to guest star since they have other day jobs or other responsibilities.
